Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
Re: Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
Wow....Grin...I'll pass on winter camping. I did some while in the military in Germany. 1/4 - 1/2 inch frost on the inside of my 2 man tent after I woke up. I'll stay in warmer climates probably for now. Grin.
Sorry to see some go but we all know things get busy from time to time.

Good idea.

Yeah, winter camping isn't for everyone. I just happen to be crazy that way.Cwreando wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 3:38 pm Wow....Grin...I'll pass on winter camping. Re: Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
Sorry for the long delay between work and non-work things I've not have a lot of motivation to post an update. But before I do post one do I have it correct that the group is going back to the passage where the two guars are at the end where it appears to change to castle like area or are you thinking to expore the rest of the unexplored passages?

Either is fine with me. I will let the others decide and go along with it.
Re: Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
Perhaps we can continue scouting in any of the other directions until we are at an encounter option or impass of some sort? This way the DM can keep the game moving forward instead of waiting on player choices? I think our goal is to get inside of the castle to deal with the queen with the least amount of difficulty possible getting to her.
Re: Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
If our goal is the queen (and I think you are correct that it is) we really should probably just take the guards out and head into the castle. But previously people didn't want to so I went along with scouting around. It really doesn't mater to me.
Having a plan like keep scouting unexplored areas until we encounter something is a good idea.

I didn't realize that let to the castle, if we think that then that is the direction we can head.
Re: Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
I think there was concern about reinforcements.
I agree we should push on into the castle. Now is the time Weston is ready to use his Hold spell on those guards.

Sounds like a plan has formed. I will post Egon leading the way.

Yes I am sorry if my description wasn't conveying that the orog/half-ogre/orc guard passage wasn't leading to a castle. I was actually trying to give off that impression with my original description of the passage starting to look more like cobbled stones and less like a natural cave.

I think it was fine, I at least thought it was leading to the castle. Maybe I didn't discuss it at the time which is on me.

Re: Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
sorry for my lagging in updating. I have been going through job interviews and got busy between that and regular work stuff. Then today I had to take the day off work to take one of our ferrets that was dying of cancer to be put down after he managed to get another year and half after being diagnosed as not living for very long back in November 2021. Got some sleep deprived folks at home so I just said I'd take the day off.

I knew you guys would get it. I'm more worried about my daughter the ferret was her baby and she nursed him through till the end. She was taking it hard before he was put down and now I can't get her to talk about it, she's gone into a disassociation state. She never really expereiened the loss of a pet that she was close with before now even though she is 17 I'm worried about her.

Re: Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
Loss of a pet is always tough, no mater the age. Be there for her and keep interacting with her and she will get through it. The unfortunate truth is we all have to learn how to grieve at some point.
Re: Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
Love is love whether it is a pet or human. She will need to go through all the steps of grief. All you can do is be there for her and validate her feelings.
Re: Q&A & Other things OCC continued...
Sorry for your loss. Take time as needed. Sending Good thoughts. I hope things get better for you and your family.
