Tlachtga leans in and whispers in Theo's ear,
For Theo:
"My young friend, we are in a foreign place with many around us who we do not know at all. It might be a good idea to not point out you are carrying a very valuable sword around. This might encourage a not so nice person or persons to try and take said sword from you."
There are no improved stats for the different styles of arrows I've mentioned. I was really just trying to humor jemmus.
The Lost Tavern
The Ethereal Marketplace
Cresty silently wonders how hard it would be to simply nick on of the superior blades behind the man while Lerrick reminisces about life back on the island.
Viktor sees the gem and counts out 23 gold coins, sensing Andron is ready to buy.
When Theo starts rambling on and on about how many arrows he cant carry, Viktor's mood suddenly turns for the worse. A lot.
The uptight man slams both hands down onto his counter loudly, now shouting at the homely ranger. "ARROW SOLD ONLY BY DOZEN!!! VHAT YOU TINK WIKTOR'S RUNNING HERE? ONSEY TWOSEY STORE? AND VHAT IS SPADE? WIKTORS IS VEAPON STORE! YOU VANT VEAPON, YOU COME SEE WIKTOR! YOU VANT SHOVEL.......NO VEAPON FOR YOU!!!"
It seems he only has weapons, and doesnt like to break up his bundles of arrows.
He cringes at Viktor's outburst and stiffly, but carefully, steps up to the counter. "One oaken staff, please," he says, handing over a small gem. Collecting the coins and staff in return, he sidesteps towards the door and joins Tlachtga.
When Tlachga whispers in Theo's ear, we nods sheepishly. Then when Victor explodes on him, his jaw drops and his face turns beet red under its gingerish spare beard. He hasn't been dressed down like this since ranger school. Usually his poor social finesse just causes people to ignore him. Ah... er... In that case I'll just take two dozen broadheads. He scoops all of his coins but 8 gold back into his purse, grabs the arrows, quiver and sheath, retreats to a quiet part of the shop, and starts equipping himself.

Andron is very stiff when buying his staff, finishing his transaction sans fanfare and making no eye contact whatsoever.
Theo reluctantly takes the 2 dozen broadhead arrows and the leather products, slipping away from the angry proprietor once the sale is complete.
Alordan pulls out some coin and makes a few purchases of his own, buying up some of the magical missiles Viktor sells. (156gp for 3 dozen arrows, 4 +1 arrows, and 2 +1 sling bullets)
The rest of the group wait by the door as a few other customers come and go. Looking out the window, only one of the children you met earlier is still standing around outside in the Marketplace.
Theo follows Andron out, sporting his two quivers and his sheathed bastard sword slung across his back.

As his customers leave, Viktor smiles and waves in a friendly manner. "Thank you for the business! Come back to see Wiktor anytime!"
Out on the crowded streets again, Andron asks the remaining child what happened to the others. Without answering out loud, the child points up the street in the opposite direction you came from and takes off at a brisk walk through the carts and people.
After getting a few yards away, the boy turns to see if any of you are following him.
