Klaus quickly orients himself and starts toward his rendezvous.

Stop that! Drag him with us, we want him alive if possible.

He carefully begins to shepherd his charges, sweeping the corridor in front and behind ready to shoot anyone/thing he perceives as hostile.

On SEMC channel Arnholdt and friends on the move.

As Klaus focusses forward he hears the QSM's pet intone "Я похороню тебя, сука" followed by some horribly efficient wet noises. As he checks back the "potential new Regimental Mascot" drops the (now really quite corpselike) casualty and explains "Zamochit... dead, yes? He'll be here when we come back. Now, let's do business with these "Little Avastan" pricks, da?" Klaus notes that the tramp is familiar with handguns as he checks and cocks the stolen automatic.

Klaus, spurred on by sounds of gunfire ahead (and someone letting rip with a vehicle mounted support weapon nearby!!!) lets the debate over the dead bloke slide and doubles over towards the Colonel (Frank) and his immediate company (Polly who has deployed an archaic fan - just weird, Jess shooting the serving staff, Erica East (SEMC civvy consultant) also shooting the "below stairs" folk!

[OOC: It is Downspire Abbey - it has huntin' the staff with large bore guns! ]

However, Klaus can't help but notice the serving bloke armed with a machinepistol running towards him. He seems less focussed on Klaus as he seems to be trying to outrun the top table cull of the "lower classes"...

Round Two

Kit

Never liking 2-ta-1 odds, Kit will quickly find the next cover, a doorway or whatever is available. When he has cover, he draws Star, the larger of his two snub pistols that happens to have red star pattern on the handle. The weapon is loaded with 10 HE and 10 HEAP rounds. He attempts to fire an HE round at one of the waiters following him.

Over the officer channel, "Engaged with two hostile waiters, corridor x, level y" (giving the location however we would do it)

Kit goes tactical and the ballistic in short order. "Room service" is interrupted when he gutshoots his first would be assailant... with High Explosive...* His target keels over in half.

The second guy, no doubt on way somewhere with some hot towels, reacts badly to this "бля пизда" (apparently). He is so incensed that he takes his ire out on the nearby ceiling with a machinepistol.

Round Two

"Roland, four hostiles behind us!" She turns and pulls on the robot to direct it down to use as a shield, and she fires at the first enemy she can sight on.

Prerna finds she gets a shot off as three of the waiters draw and one sprays his machine pistol at her one handed. She feels something smack into her chest but instinctively knows it's not serious (hopefully). However, she doesn't get to see the effect of her rounds as she is grabbed and just moved by the massive robot (with strength dwarfing someone in battledress). Then she is dazzled by a muzzle flash approximate to her own height and the very distinctive sound of "BRRRRRRTTT!"

As the barrels of Roland's shoulder mounted AGAT (Advanced Gatling) smoothly stop rotating to just gently smoke Prerna looks back down the corridor and sees that where there were four men there is now just a monumental clean up job.

Freya takes "Blyat!" as an insult!

Gauss Rifle, Full Auto, Short Range, Snapfire: (Skill + DEX + Auto): [2d6+7]=7+7=14

The unarmoured server looks like they may be in trouble.

She reports by radio: Contact at the armoury. 1 steward. as she steps back into the doorway of the armoury in case of others.

A quick count reveals who else is armouring up behind her.

Simultaneously hit four times by (fatal) high velocity rounds Freya's target sags to the ground.

From behind her Freya hears

"Fekkin' soup!"

"Cheeky canute!"

"That learned 'im"

"Delivery late, Ma'am?"

Freya discovers that most of SEMC is mostly kitted up in the armoury.

Kit considers switching to Moon with the tranq rounds, be seeing that already is a big clean-up required and all the trouble to draw a different weapon, forget about it another HE round.

"Thank you Mr Soloman, I might be interesting in buying a pair of these, or a pair of the naval variant if you can find them."

Frank nods at Jess as she arrives, and then returns to scanning the room for danger.

Frank notes a bloke in a server's waistcoat approaching but Mr. Solomon crossdraws a snub nosed magnum revolver offhand and casually shoots him - twice.

He sighs "Now, that with the underslung's called "The Duellist" mod if you could tell yer mates... er...acquaintances. As it goes Solomon Gunsmithing is something of a local start up enterprise facilitatin' the needs of yer discerning customer. Ethically based like yerself, locally sourcedish and, on a community level, helpfully turnin' the troubled local youth to a diverse an' crime free path - if they come within range. Now, a pair of underslung Navy Gausspistols for yourself at the cost of a very discrete endorsement, in a certain community, of a local minority firm..."

Solomon offers his hand and then pauses " 'Old up 'e's still movin' - ah, no, he's gone. You see it's not my merchandise - just yer Avastan genetics... Now, I think we might have a deal?"

Round Two

Keeping her attention on the approaching servers, Jess separates the pistol from the tray and readies it.

Using her best Sarn't Major Parade-Ground Voice, she addresses the four:

Oi, you four! Hygiene check. Stand still and show me your hands.

Jess thinks she's got them. She sees Erica East bringing her borrowed Navy gauss up to the aim. Jess has seen the elephant and this "immediate" things are difficult to hide. Erica's no civvy gun range gal making good - can't hide it this close up. She's a pro close combat shooter - possibly military. Meanwhile, as Frank plays it cool (whoa, he's hidin' it! ), Polly is officially "not scared". She is crouched behind a table with her war fan defensively deployed and looks to be preparing or considering a counter charge if the would be assassins come forward. However, the sudden vocal imposition of discipline to chaos has worked.

Then something... changes.

The four servers initially seemed daunted at the very least by the revelation that the "soft high rolling easy marks" they had been told about turned out to be not only hardened mercs but also forewarned and tooled up mercs. Then each gets "that look" and reaches. A couple of them may have been halfway there but suddenly they're all goin' "Butch an' Sundance".

Taking a snapshot tactical view Jess summarizes thusly:
Mug one darts towards Frank drawing a Skorpion but after only a few strides is casually shot (offhand on the draw) by Mr. Solomon (twice).
Mug two raises his Skorpion at the obvious threat of the hottie combat shooter at the aim which is Ms East.
Mug three makes himself Jess' own personal issue as he yanks a Skorpion from under his waistcoat, cocks it and brings it to bear on her*.
Mug four seems up for glory but then mercurially looses his rage and having drawn his own Skorpion, now bottles it, confusedly running out of Jess' threat focus and (probably) towards the inbound Klaus and Tartar.

Round Deux

Checking the crowd behind her, Freya finds Corporal Able. Take your crowd and work your way to the gate. Assume that there are other hostiles between here and there. And assume that there will be outsiders that may be seeking unauthorised access with heavy equipment.

Corporal Charlie - Your guys are to get upstairs and check the flight deck.

Rest of you, stay here until called by your officers. Don't let non-SEMC staff in.

Then she edges, carefully, from the armoury (checking to see if Blyat or splat or whoever had nearby friends) and looks his remains over for comms or anything useful. Toggling to her squad's comms subnet

Florence: Don't deploy Jammers unless the Colonel authorises it personally. We may not be able to fund the legal costs if we cut the sports channels! Anything on comms triangulation? Doughal/Dylan: They know we are alert - launch those drones. And Freddie...are you in position? I'm working my way to you.

As she didn't get to deploy her own drone earlier, she'll use it to watch her back.

He then turns slightly and fires at the shooter focusing on Jess.

Frank knows that Erica has the Navy gauss pistol, but is not sure what Jess is armed with. I'm trying to remember the combat rules, I think I get two shots, I'll roll for two anyway:

Prerna keys her comm on the command channel. "I'm hit. Moving to the sick bay with Erica's bot." She takes a moment to check her injury before she moves on.

Prerna finds a first aid kit mounted in the companionway and after some swabbing and painful probing decides that she got sliced by either a ricochet or a bullet fragment.

She successfully stops the minimal bleeding and dresses the wound which remains painful.

Prerna is no longer in "bullet time" / tactical rounds so feel free to declare more expansive actions.

(OOC: Medic Roll [2d6+3]=5+3=8 Success but no over achieving to wipe off the Light Wound so continue with a -1 Penalty).

Kit considers switching to Moon with the tranq rounds, be seeing that already is a big clean-up required and all the trouble to draw a different weapon, forget about it another HE round.

Kit notes that his assailant clearly doesn't appreciate the effect of HE rounds or good use of cover. He fires again and his second HE round detonates in the machine pistoleer's left thigh effectively removing his leg. This is obviously and instantly fatal.

Kit is no longer in "bullet time" / tactical rounds so feel free to declare more expansive actions.

Freya issues instructions and receives a "Righto Ma'am" from Able who then talks on the first squad net.

She recalls Charlie is running the bar upstairs but Baker states his scout sniper squad are moving to high ground as per Prerna's instructions and so will report on the state of the flight deck. Although Freya's bot can see it (all appears normal with a couple of small craft unloading and one now departing - see below).

Examining "Splyat" she finds he is very dead. He has an SMG and a cheap civvy handheld radio with an earpiece.

Doughal and Dylan state they will commence launching their "birds".

Freddie suggests a route to HQ / sensor ops and then states "I'll come and meet you". He arrives as Freya finishes searching "Mr. Splyat". Freddie is distinctive and rather tactically visible as he is not yet wearing his armour. Although fully armed he instead wears a white vest, white jeans and white sports shoes. Damn but he's an aesthetically pleasing specimen. With a rhapsodically bohemian air he sulkily confides "I was just about to go on and do my "turn" upstairs...".

As she didn't get to deploy her own drone earlier, she'll use it to watch her back.

(OOC: Oh yes you did! It was let out of the "cat flap" by Gaughan and so is on station outside 1000m up and 1000m out (as directed) watching the flight deck).

Frank and Jess (Combo splice action - which sounded better before I re-read it... )

Round Three

Frank turns and road tests the underslung gausspistol snapping off two silent high velocity shots. His first hits the gunman's extending arm and smashes his humerus (humourous?) propelling bone fragments like shrapnel through the surrounding muscle. As his SMG drops from nerveless fingers realization seems to be just about to dawn on the gunman but before he can react the QSM puts a round straight through the ten point mark. The now ex assassin drops stone dead.

Both are aware of Erica's assailant screaming as he hoses rounds well wide of her and in the direction of the assembled Zhodani. It's quite difficult to determine exactly what killed him but safer to conclude that everything that hit him did. Erica puts an aimed burst of gauss needles through his head while his major organs and/or lungs seem to suddenly and explosively flash fry.

Round Three

Instructing his charges to keep low and follow him Klaus moves up and finds himself charged by a distracted gunman.

Klaus shoulders his ACR and puts a burst of discarding sabot rounds into his target. The high velocity penetrators shatter his right leg and over penetrate his torso. He dies mid stride and pitches forwards stone dead.

(OOC:

Klaus aims a 3 shot burst at the chest of man heading towards him while still shepherding his charge towards the main group.

Roll 5 with aimed fire so no penalty. ACR autofire bonus +2, Klaus' Dex bonus with ACR +2, Klaus' skill with ACR +2 net 11 Hit.

Extra hits with autofire per degree of success so 8+ Hit 10+ Additional Hit NB Merc characters kick ass in Combat!

This isn't Klaus' first rodeo so he'll select the most lethal option: Discarding Sabot rounds.

She then contacts Sgt Dubbs

Sergeant - What's the departing small-craft? Is it something I should keep tabs on? And have you received any orders for me?

Next she checks the captured radio...and passes the make, model and frequency details to Florence. Let me know if you find anything?

Finally, she sees if she can raise Sgt Gaughn. Sergeant. Has your team seen any rats?

And back to the moment. Why would anyone send just one person to the armoury? She sets a mike to the floor at the nearest junctions of her corridor (fibre link) and listens for approaching footfall.

n.b. Her drone feed, she patches into the SEMC battle comp.
