I've finally broken the block and tackled the robot repair thing.

It's been blocking me for weeks. I knew it would need to be done in one sitting, and that it would take some time (assigning characters to tasks, rolling dice, describing results), but I had too much work to do leading up to Xmas to just sit and do it.

Today the house is empty of non-resident people and I had no work.

Now the monster is slain, I can get moving.

Leon/Legion Lee can have a shopping scene while the others work (on private thread or as a "flashback").

Everyone who wants to can form up and head out to enjoy Ummiimir's hospitality.

I'll price up the whole robot repair and bill Kar later

I was about to post, but the document has disappeared. It was there this morning, nearly ready to go, but now it's just... gone. No saved copy, no trace in recent documents, not in the recycle bin. The machine hasn't crashed, it's just been hibernating all day.

It's beyond understanding.

As Tiv passes “Stabbin’ Pete” and “Yummie” Yumi, he raises his half-drained stein of ale in salute. Lowering it, he looks directly at “Yummie”…smiling, he waves her towards him as he extends his elbow toward her as an invitation to join him at the head of the procession.

Assuming she accepts the invite, he’ll also wave to Pete to follow as he marches off with Yummie at his side and offers her drink from his stein.

As Tiv enters Ummimmir’s reception, he hands the empty mug to Yummie and says, Seems we need a refill. He whispers to Yummie, At the end of this meeting, just don’t forget whose taking you home! he figures, after seeing yummie’s flirting earlier, she must have a thing for…more distinguished men.

I’ll go with the first, but the second will need a decent Persuade roll. (The Reaction Rolls were low enough that you'll need a pretty good Effect to get where you're heading)

Just kicking ideas around for a Trojan Horse as opposed to a raid (risky plus diplomatic fallout) or a space boarding action (which the warband are just not good at - but PCs might be...???)

I like the on-station Trojan horse idea. Less messy.

Perhaps once we have the Yeroarao we can sift the ship computer to see if they had an emergency meet up location planned with their escort out of system. If so, we could set up an ambush at said location. Just thinking out loud!

I had been working on the assumption the plan was for some sort of Trojan Horse cutting-out operation, followed by an engagement of some sort with the hidden escort.

There is a broad understanding that these Tyrians will buy from you, but the details remain to be established. So far, it doesn't extend to an exclusive Ásgeirr/Tyr trade deal.

If the Serpent isn't deliberately misleading you, there is some interest in deepening the association.

I hope to add a post later, with Ummiimir's contribution, but it won't affect any reactions to what is already posted.

Also, deciding on images for various NPCs, should expand gallery soon.

I think that's broadly our plan. The earlier mention of Marines threw me as, although maybe the PCs can help out here (which is no bad thing at all!), the basic (junior) warband can't do zero G combat / use vacc suits etc so really are currently much more "Infantry" rather than "Marines"... or Pirates!

I mulled over trying to convince the Aslan to hire us as Marines/Ship Troops and then double crossing them once aboard and/or during a mock "attack" on the Tyrrians but this might just take too much "finessing" and be over reliant on people/xenos liaison skills (that Raven certainly hasn't got) so we might have to go with a more "simple/basic" strategy and just attempt to "cut out" the aslan vessel from its hangar. So a ruse de guerre rather than a sophisticated deception or "long con".

Meanwhile, I fear the Tyrrians may have been caught in one of those "dodgy dressing up cupboard" incidents...

The Marines comment was them emphasising/regretting they were no longer on a warship, and so had limited combat potential - certainly no capacity to board another ship.

Understood as above - I was just anxious to point out that neither do we! In fairness we're good if all the environmental controls stay on and the hull's not breached but for "floaty space stuff" we're looking to the PCs! (e.g. if we were considering boarding the aslan escort after a ship to ship fight). This is no bad thing at all in game terms but I wanted to lay out the warband's limitations before they came as an unfortunate surprise...

If you think the PCs (plus a little help from the Tyrians?) insufficient, perhaps you need another ally for Phase 2. One of the pirate crews.
