"Agreed. In fact we need to know even if they are used for something else since you said they were magical."

Androgost
Takes in all of this talk and action: Let's get all of the eyes down... and then talk and decide what to do with this one. Great assessment that we are not alone.
Busies himself with cutting down the eyes and collecting them in a bag that will be left in the grove.

Siouxsie
"What does it consider an appropriate sacrifice?" she asks the captive.
I am not sure the dragon-god spurs in use via the crystal ribbons. More like they are placed as a banner or flag to mark territory. Not diamonds are they? Just cheap semi precious rocks.
While the captured Shtelke is under the hypnosis, she asks questions, trying to gain information relevant to the creatures, their lair and this Prebish.
Has anyone seen such as these creatures before? Dragonborn I have heard of, are these kin to those or some new breed of Draconians? The phrase 'my daughters' I take as they are not literally the physical daughters unless they were all Prebish's eggs and hatched.
Interesting he/she genders each as my daughter's, not my children's or 'my sons and daughters'. So are they created as an only female race?
Too many questions and probably too little time to get all the answers.

Nah Olos helps to remove crystals from the trees. He'll also scrutinize them as he holds them, to see if there are any defining features / markings.

In the Jotens - Downhill in a hurry
Late Afternoon Starday, 8th day of Planting, 597
3rd day since leaving Loftwick
Qleceec (AC 1, HP 63/63)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 59/65, Armor 23/26)
Nah (AC 4, HP 53/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 44/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 50/50)
Boff (AC 5, HP 61/61)
Franny (AC 4, HP 26/26)
Hex (AC 0, HP 27/27, Armor 8/8)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8)
Androgost directs the group to set-up camp and in addition suggests scouting ahead, the possibility of scrying ahead on the trail and wonders if any have heard of Preblshienchiashav in religious studies.
Garrant suggests perhaps retreating to get out of the "realm of Preblshienchiashav."
Qleceec replies to the scouting suggestion "I am not sure it is a good idea for me to scout ahead along just yet"
None of the magic types seem to have any scrying that they suggest nor does anyone give a positive answer to the name Preblshienchiashav, but Nah Olos say "Sounds like a dragon name."
Nah Olos tries to cut some of the crystals down and is successful, but does discover that it is not string or wire that is holding the crystal but some kind of almost liquid. The liquid is clear and slightly sticky. Qleceec is amazed by what this is as she watches Nah Olos cut it down.
Garrant points out that there is magic in the trees really all around the group.
Androgost starts to cut down the topaz as well.
Siouxsie asks the webbed Shtelke multiple questions in common, but the Shtelke answers in Green Dragon, until he doesn't.
Shtelke answers in Green Dragon, yelling at two points and then when finished says in Common, "KILLSS MESS ORSS FREESS MESS. ISS WILLSS SAYSS NOSS MORESS."

Will translate from Green Dragon dialects into Common.
She considers. Then says to the Shtelke. "You were one of the original ten? A matriarch among your people, an elder for others to listen to and learn from.
Come with us freely to the homelands of the dwarves that you may live and help those who flee this fledging tyrant.
Or stay and offer yourself as the suitable sacrifice to atone for your laxity in allowing us to pass."
She offers a choice to the captive though she figures it will try to appease her dragon deity.

"Leave it tangled. It will escape eventually." she advises.
I have a feeling if we kill it, the dragon will know and if we leave it, then more will come to assail us.
Do we want to camp or ride on?

Gathering the group away from the stones: Siouxsie, your interaction was very useful and shines light on our current situation. Drumming his fingers on his thigh: Going with the self admitted indication that they are the source of the earthquakes, the dragon and the Shtelke have become the subject of our quest. To that end, giving anything as a sacrifice is an admission of their dominion over this land and approval of their activities. Not something we are in agreement to since their activities are causing duress to the cities and towns below. Left unchecked or allowed to flourish, their dominion and scope of activities will continue to grow. Does everyone see this evolving situation as I? Or, perhaps another way?

"I think your thoughts are most likely correct, but we don't know enough yet to rule out something else going on yet. I would suggest we move forward under the assumption you are correct but keep ourselves alrt and open to the fact it could be something else or more complicated then we currently realize."

Re: Chapter 1: Journey through the Jotens
Really the description of the spell is just yes/no there is magic in the area effect, but I will say hanging topaz = magic, cut down topaz = NO magic.

Boff
Boff asks Franny "Did you happen to get an Augury spell from Dumathoin today? It might be good to get his take on this decision."
Franny
"No uncle, I did not."

Re: Chapter 1: Journey through the Jotens
We should let it go back to its master,” Hex advises quietly as he draws closer to the others, trying to keep what is said from their temporary prisoner.
You have access to a scrying spell do you not Druid? Study the creature now, and use that link to scry upon her once she has returned to her lair come the morrow. We can learn what we are up against then before heading off into certain danger. Green dragons are dangerous foes after all.
Raffi checks the corpses of the dragon women, to see if there is anything they might have missed. You never know he says nonchalantly as the others look on.
