In Game OOC
Re: In Game OOC
Cool. I should have mentioned that link sooner.
Some of those stunts do seem quite powerful, but a lot of those require to be built on top of other stunts.
My other two stunts are from there too, but I have no issues if you want to adjust them.

Re: In Game OOC
Yes, but I'm focusing on what's needed for the current adventure. I'm not sure what will happen once our run at the ScenSim is done, but the grandfather's notes might open doors to future adventure.
Re: In Game OOC
It will take roughly two hours to go back down the mountain, cross the flat, and then get to the cave entrance. How long will the group spend reading the documents, and when do you plan on setting out for the cave? Keep in mind that there was no real trail to the cabin, and there's likely no trail up to the cave, so being able to see will be useful. Moving in daylight saves lightening a lantern, which can be seen at night.
Once inside the cave, of course, lanterns will be required.

Re: In Game OOC
I think it best we leave at dawn to make best use of the day. So spend however much time we have before bed so we can be rested at least.
Re: In Game OOC
Seems like a good plan to me.
Re: In Game OOC
I should have used that +2 on my craft roll, oh well.
Re: In Game OOC
I don't see why you still can't.
Re: In Game OOC
There are two possible sources of a +2 right now; using a Fate Point, or if you still have the Boost I gave each of you a week or so ago. Either is fine, for this case.
Keep in mind that you start the scene with 3 Fate Points. IC:2 is a new scene, so even if you used all three of your Fate Points in IC:1, then you are again back at 3. The exception is that if you ended the scene with more than 3 Fate Points, and I believe Louis did, then the next scene you start with the higher number.
So, where was Louis on the Fate Point score? Did he use the Boost already? As long as you have them, you can use them. Just keep in mind that this is the last scene, so you might want some if there happens to be any combat.

Re: In Game OOC
To be honest I lost track of my fate points. Although don't I get one for invoking the aspect for getting the trunk, so that would give me four. I don't remember using one for anything, but I might be wrong
I'm pretty sure I haven't used that free boost. I'm thinking that having working guns when we get there is worth it, and I'd still have the four fate points.

Re: In Game OOC
I think you are right. We need to track Fate Points, etc.
Re: In Game OOC
I'll add them to my character sheet.
I've edited the post where I made the Craft roll to add the +2 from the free boost.

Re: In Game OOC
Farid used his boost and 1 fate point. Not sure which scene the fate point was in as I am not 100% sure where the scenes began and start. Would it be worth tracking the scenes as well?
Re: In Game OOC
Farid should have 3 Fate Points, since we are just starting the second scene.
In this case, the scenes are separated by threads. IC:1 was the first scene, and IC:2 was the second. I'm doing short scenes, and focusing on the interesting bits. IC:1 was to get you all involved, and to introduce some PCs. IC:2 is to resolve the issue. The "get through the cave" bit is mostly to set the tone; I've been in caves, and they are muddy. Interesting to see, boring to adventure in. So, coming up out of the water, into the cistern, is where things really begin.
Here's more on scenes.
Re: In Game OOC
That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.
Re: In Game OOC
This entrance has me chuckling since Kerecsen the ladies man is about to get dragged in front of the ladies by his shirt collar while soaking wet. This would fit right in for a 3 musketeers novel.Leitz wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 2:30 amA Boost, or a Fate Point, would only bring you up to 1, and still one short. If you fail, you need to make a Physique vs 2 roll to claw yourself back to the cave. I will point out that Louis rolled a 4, if you can talk him into spending a Fate Point (or a Boost, if he has it), then he can pull Kerecsen into the cistern. Of course, that means that the two of you will be "first" in the cistern, and someone needs to roll vs a 4 to keep the women from freaking out and sounding the alarm. Figure out what you could use to influence them, and roll.jemmus wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 2:17 am Athletics +0 [1d6]=5[1d6]=2[1d6]=2[1d6]=4 Net score -1. I think I can use a boost to go to 1 and succeed at swimming? Or if not, use a fate point as well?
Re: In Game OOC
I don't have a boost, but I could be use a fate point to help him.
I don't really have a skill that would influence them, only empathy to read their response. I probably should have gone for Rapport. Ah well, no worries.

Re: In Game OOC
If we can switch to Farid going first he has rapport +2 and could use a Fate point to invoke his Aura of Command. The issue is he can't save Kerecsen.
Re: In Game OOC
The underwater tunnel is wide enough, and short enough, that two or three could be there at the same time.
People who think they are drowning usually go berserk. However, Louis' Succeed with Style will overcome that. Kerecsen will just need to try again. Louis, having made it there and back, will not need to reroll.
