Podo climbs the rope as swiftly as possible and helps with the opening of the door.
Anton will remain at the bottom of the rope keeping watch.

Status of Game
I must admit that we’ve run into a Sandbox Trap; a “realistic” encounter that doesn’t advance the game. This damaged tower is just that. You could explore and encounter further mysteries, but it will be slow and boring. I'm not up to it.
I’d rather leap ahead to a point where adventure/encounters are more balanced. You’ve decided not to pursue the Knights and continue north out of Motter’s territory into the area you explored around the tunnel system.
If this sounds reasonable, I will move the game forward from here.

Sorry for the slow response everyone. I'm okay with moving on as well. We found some weird stuff (the liquid from the pool and the egglike things from the ceiling).. as to whether that is useful, I have no idea. It's interesting puzzling through the tower, but it's slow in this format. It would be the kind of thing that would play a lot faster in a live game. Maybe if there were a way to condense several moves into one post, the exploration part might work better. But I'm not sure how that can be done in play by post without taking away player decisions/agency.
