"I was stung by a few bees and cut my hand pulling it out. At the moment I cannot grip with it."

"Well, that doesn't sound too serious. I guess that's an occupational hazard with the bees. Is it healing well.?"

"I hope so, but it only happened yesterday. Sorry another order is up!"

After finishing his meal, he joins Qleceec outside.

Garrant lets the woman return to her work. While she delivers the order to her customer Garrant looks thoughtful. When she finishes delivering to the table he gestures the woman back over.

"Let me heal that hand for you."

Boff and Franny watch the exchange with the injured woman carefully, the cleric ready to step in to help too, if necessary.

Once ready, the senior dwarf exclaims. "Lets get back on the trail as soon as possible."

"I hope so, but it only happened yesterday. Sorry another order is up!"

Garrant lets the woman return to her work. While she delivers the order to her customer Garrant looks thoughtful. When she finishes delivering to the table he gestures the woman back over.

"Let me heal that hand for you."

She only resists a little by saying, "I could not afford the donation."

In the interest of joining the group up with their waiting member, if Garrant wants to cast a spell with no strings attached Rose will graciously accept and thank you for the wonderful gift but otherwise she will hope everything heals in good time.

The party leaves the small collection of buildings known as Emberton and follows the road to the north with some of the other horses picking up the tents. The road follows the eastern edge of the foothills and as a result the Sule River is generally not within sight of the road. Around 4 PM you see the first sign of intelligent life since lunch, a collection of 3 wagons and perhaps three to four times that number of horses camping about 100 ft off the road where for the first time since lunch the river has once again come back to the road. This owners of the horses and wagons appear to be a collection of dwarves and humans several of which are armored in chain mail. As much as Boff would like to talk to his kinfolk, the group is trying to make it to North Reach today. The group continues past the small camp and pushes the horses forward.

The sun begins to set about 7 PM and after about an hour of riding along the road in the dark the group make it to the gates of North Reach. Both the party and horses are very tired. The city has a very different layout when compared to Loftwick. The city itself has very high walls (between 20' and 30' in height) and in terms of square footage the city itself is about 1/6 the size of Loftwick with a little less than half the population. Having left your friend here, you all know that North Reach is built more vertically with 2, 3 and even when multiple halfling, gnome or dwarf buildings are located together and odd 4 story building. The main gate is half-way up (or half-way down) which does force most off their horses and the guard force the rest off for entrance to the city after dark. The only one that is given even is a look is Nah, but once it is realized he is with an elf and a few dwarves there is no concern.

The party heads to the Rich Vein Pub which Hexalon Sunstone (Hex) a gnome illusionist and his henchperson Raffi Willowfoot a Tallfellow Halfling had agreed to wait for the rest of the party to return. It is a mining themed pub with rooms and beds (not to mention ceilings) designed for dwarves, gnomes and halflings resulting an non-human atmosphere. Luckily, just two doors down is another Pub, The Molten Spider Pub which run by a half-orc named Moss.

Androgost checks in at the Molten Spider to secure a room for the night. He personally combs his warhorse and checks the hooves for any debris before joining the others at the Rich Vein Pub.

Qleceec finds stabling for her 2 horses and then heads to the pub to meet with the others.

Garrant heads over to the Molten Spider to get a room and settle in his horse before returning to the Rich Vein.

Boff does the usual routine, stabling the horses, and asking around about the earthquakes.

He and Franny will stay where they are, at the Rich Vein Pub, eating, drinking, talking, and most importantly, resting.

Taverns great. And a rest from riding all day. Not good for a young lady's hips. Straddling a 'too wide a mount' for long hours makes awkward walking afterwards.

She will follow the others for a drink.

"No trouble now!" she says to the guys. always trouble in taverns. Someone wants to pick a fight with the half-orc. Someone else wants to jeer the cavalier, another might decide to cheat at cards. "No trouble now". Falls on deaf ears every time too.

"Hey Mr Moss. I bet a hundred gold my champion wrestler can best all comers. Look at Nah Olas, the Earthquake who Walks , the Mountain of the Yeomanry, the Undefeated, the Undisputed!"

She tries to hustle up a little evening soirée

"C'mon Nah, some em' yer muscles"

Hex jumps up as he sees the others enter. He rushes through the crowds to throw his arms around Boff and Franny.

“Welcome and well met cousins! How has the journey been this far? Any news on what has been happening?”

He pats Nah on the thigh good naturedly and winks at the tall half-orc. “Good to see you snaggletooth. How’ve you been?”

The gnome tucks his shoulder length blonde hair behind his ears as he sees Siouxsie. “Madam Druid,” he says bowing low.

To the cavalier he smiles and winks. “Well met master elf. Do we have a new mission yet?”

To the chosen of the deity of magic, Hex smiles most warmly. “I trust you kept our spellbooks safe and fry holy one?” the gnome says mischievously.

As the others gather he puts his hands on his hips, smoothing his blue robes absently. “My but it’s good to see you all again. Well met I say once more. What news?”

Raffi smiles and waves from his seat at the table, the halfling’s eyes sparkling. “It’s good to see everyone. This one’s driving me crazy!” he quips, pointing his thumb in the gnomes direction.

Nah Olos stares at Siouxsie. "You just say no trouble". But, he half turns out of his chair and flexes for the crowd, sneering to intimidate.

Garrant smiles at Hex, "Always master Hex, always."

When Raffi calls out he laughs and replies "Surely that's his job, good Raffi?"

"We are not having any bar-fights in my establishment, Ms. Half-elf. Buy a round for the bar (there are 30-35 people in the bar at present) and the locals can make their own bets for ARM-wrestling your champion, with 40% going to the house. The house always wins.", followed by a big grin for Moss. "Belly up to the bar and ring the bell if you still want the deal!"

Starting with a single table eventually covering the entire bar is the chant, "Ring the bell, Ring The Bell, RING THE BELL!"

A room at either inn with modest food will run 2 gp for the night, with an extra 10 sp to stable a horse. Extra food and beverages are not included.

Qleceec will stay at the Rich Vein Pub if they have a bed that will fit her.

She pays 3gp for the room and stabling for 2 horses plus a 10sp tip for the ostler.

Sadly it is clear, at 5'10" the ceilings in the main room are not even tall enough for you without lots of leaning (the ceiling is about 5' high) and the longest bed is about that height as well.
