A new forum -- Reikland Adventures (WFRP 4e) -- has been set up for your campaign, placed at the bottom of your grouping of current games.

You have been set as the moderator for your forum, and you should also be able to make 'sticky' posts. To add users to your group so that they can post in your forum, follow the instructions outlined here: How to add players to your campaign.

Please consult the 'How to make and find your campaign ID' if you're unfamiliar with the Unseen Servant dice roller.

Feel free to reply if you have any questions or issues and an admin will be able to assist.

Hey,

So there is some kind of hidden sub-forum in this forum that I can't see and the index page is showing this forum as having a new post, but when I look in the forum there is nothing new.

I can mark the whole forum as read at the index page level and it goes away, so it's not an issue, but I thought you should know.

PS: I'm not a player in this game.

I think I understand what you’re reporting, and I think this is the normal behavior. The “Last post by” column will reflect the latest post made in the forum, even if that post was made in a private sub-forum.

The scenario is a bit tricky to test (because, as an admin I’m able to see all forums and posts), but I’ve seen my username in that “Last post by” column on the main Index page a lot after I submit a response in a private sub-forum (not in a public-facing topic).


If you think there’s an issue, however, let me know and I can look into it.

I'm pretty sure I've not seen this with other forums that have private forums, i. e. I don't see an indication of what I assume is a new post in a private forum I can't see.

Maybe I'm mistaken, and it's not really a problem. It would be interesting if anyone else sees this if I'm special

If it happens again I'll note the last post info displayed, although I've only seen it today on my mobile so it will be interesting to see if it's still there on the full index page.

I think I have seen that before. I just noticed I don't see my happy birthday post to Ed from very early today either, it was in the happy birthday thread and I can't find it where I thought it should be. But if I look at my posts it is there. Weird. But it looks like othgers can see it since they are posting in it.

That's odd, because if I follow your link I can see your post in the right forum.

But, that is the very post that is now showing up for me as a new post in the Reikland Adventures forum:

But obviously when I go to the Reikland forum it's not there.

Something weird is going on with it. I can see it there too when I look, but then if I go inside it isn't there.

At the same time I'm not seeing the General RPG discussion forum where it should be:

I see the same if I log out as well.

If I follow Rex's link above, or the link to the post on the index page, then it takes me to the post and from there I can use the link at the top of that page to access the General RPG Discussion forum, so it seems to be linked to the display of the index page.

It might be worth purging the cache in the admin control panel.

Yeah, this is something I did, somehow.
I'll stop futzing and let Greg and Dave fix it. Somehow I paired General and Basilisk Hills and Reikland

I'm assuming this can be fixed, but please be patient

Thanks. I was able to backdoor my way to it and make a couple of posts. Hopefully everyone is still getting notifications to go off.
