Orgoth walks up to the Innkeep, "Good to see you at last my friend. Sven and I will be taking our deluxe twin again for at least a week."

He lays 5gp on the bar.

Looks around the room and settle in at the bar for now.

"I will take a mixed grill and a mead to start with."

He drops a gp and 5sp on the bar as well.

Sheet updated.
Gerdal enters and has a look around, spotting Orgoth at the bar.

"Orgoth! You are alive and well I see. Has Crom smiled upon you? It would appear so. I just arrived after a long trek with our common friend Isvand the trickster. Would you believe it, he cheated death once again. It does not even come as a surprise anymore, but you should have seen it. Torn apart and carried away by a giant flying lizard, he managed to get lose and his new ring saved him from the fall.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the sales you performed in Ironguard. I am currently trying to put some of the money to good use."

She turns to the innkeeper.

"My good man, if you can provide it, I will have a room for the week, and I will start this evening off with a bath and the mixed grill. Thank you!"

15 gp deducted, the bath and stabling seems to be included

The Brazen Strumpet Tavern

Bollo welcomes his adventuring returnees, letting them know of spruced up rooms and welcoming hot baths back scrubbing wenches though only at the Foul Pheasant.

He adjusts his ledgers and keys to give the required rooms, serves food and ales and willingly listens to takes of the Barrows.

Bublé is present, though he has been teaching Dougal bagpiping tricks to charm goldfish to leap into nets and zombies cut their own ears off in disgust at the droning noise. He is happy to script further new songs and epics especially since the last alternative laureate was rotten tomatoed for his literary epic that was just too much for an inebriated crowd.

Gerdal brings a new guest too. An albino woman who does not speak common and is completely out of her depth in the village let alone the saloon. Patra-patra does enjoy the hot baths, (though she keeps eating the soap), prefers yesterday's stew over today's and is wide eyed at the horses in the stable. She points about eating them too! Generally she follows Gerdal about, being pretty much a shadow.

As others return to town or make their posts I will give another update to rumour monger with patron's for latest gossip and stories.

Isvand decides to pamper himself in his convalescence and pays for a premier private room. paying the requisite 22 G and 10 SP for 15 days, and a little extra for the consideration of the staff. (25 deducted), and divides his time between his bed and the common room for the first few days until he is well enough to start training, hoping that Orgoth returns soon.

During a well deserved dinner and drinks with his adventuring family, Sven can’t stop thinking about work.

“We need to do some serious research on this Palanthas fellow. If my hunch is correct, we might find more of his stuff hidden throughout the maze. Maybe we can find out some information about what his gauntlet could really do? That thing seems important. I’m glad we decided to keep it as group treasure. So, do we just let Amos wear it for now then?”

The young man is clearly lost in his long list of stuff he needs to do while in town.

“We need to do a tribute to Truro too.”

Orgoth

To Gerdal, "Great to see you Gerdal. Very glad to hear that Isvand is still alive as well. I sort of cheated death as well, or was really close anyways."

To Sven, "Agreed, we need more information on him and a tribute of course."

At some point during the night, Sven turns to Gerdal.

“Hey Gerdie. Can you talk to some of your animal friends around here for me sometime? I need to know if wild catnip grows anywhere nearby. Mazzah said his cat would know, but I can never tell if that guy is being serious or not.”

“I wonder if your friend Raust would know where some is?”

The young mage eventually speaks privately with his closest confidant Orgoth.

“You know bud, we are starting to become better known around here. Our reputations are proceeding us. I haven’t decided if I like that or not. In our current profession, it might be more bane than boon.”

“Despite that, I would ask a favor of my closest friend. Remember that portrait I gave to Mazzah? I think I would like to have a similar one of you done. We are close comrades, after all, it only makes sense.”

“I know it would be boring for you, but would you mind sitting for the artist for a while? I’m sure he won’t make you look too weird like he did mine, and it would mean a lot to me if you agreed. What do you think?”

"Yes, sure Sven, I'll do that, if it's important to you. I know catnip myself, but even with the help of the forest animals it might take some time to find it. Did you have some research in mind? Knowing you, I'd guess so." She smiles warmly.

Then she turns more serious.

"Raust stayed in the cave to rule over the Orphidians. It...could have been me, but I decided not to. Their last queen was a vile and evil being bent on destruction, and I'm not prepared to go there...cough" (was that cough a muffled "yet"?!)

"Anyway, you won't hear from her in quite some time, that's for sure."

Sven nods at the information.

“Actually, it’s for a friend. We met a really strange creature called Gabby in one of the rooms. We made some trades with him and I found this awesome ring!”

He shows off his cursed ring with pride.

“I would totally never take this off, even if I could.”

“Anyway, Gabby asked if we could bring some fresh catnip to trade with next time. Hopefully he doesn’t remember Peaches robbing him after our trade agreement. Like I said, she is a spunky one. If she were here, I’d introduce you.”

“Hey! We should bring Gabby a new skull to talk through too. Anyone have an extra skull they aren’t using?”

SM do you agree to retro us bringing the Naga Queen's head to Helix? I forgot to mention that since it was not in the loot split... It would have made sense since the others (Raust?) had some agreement with Lord Krothos, that Gerdal is now trying to fulfill...

:o

Awesome!

I might be a little nervous letting Gabby take on the mindset of an evil naga queen, but I’d bet he would love it.

Sven smiles.

“Cool! Thanks! And if you want to pay for half of it, we might both benefit, if you know what I mean.”

I guess it would be up to SM if we could each pay 150gp and split the 300xp, but I figured I would throw it out there in case it was cool.

If Patra-patra is willing, Sven casts his Comprehend Languages and touches her on the arm before attempting to get her to say anything.
Patra-patra talks, incessantly, especially if coaxed with extra ales which after half a mug go to her head. Her talk centres around the trauma of kidnap by the Orphidians who raided her home 'in the caverns of the exiles in the hills in the wilderness far far away'. Her reference is she thinks her people were exiled, all her people are albino, so this is not a genetic disorder but a common racial feature. She has infravision, common to those who dwell underground. She likes the warm sun but it blinds her and gives her headaches. She views Gerdal as some kind of shaman type medicine woman, perhaps like her own mother or other matriarchs in her community.

In the days in Helix, it is quite overwhelming. Sights, sounds, smells; thinks she hasn't seen before. (Alastar's buttock tattoo, horses, taverns and "girly' stuff like trinket blink, perfumes and hit baths). She has gone wandering, like a lost soul at times. Following various scents like the abattoir of Clive the butcher. She is terrified of the graveyard, insisting wisemen would burn the dead and you are all living in the edge of a zombie apocalypse. She doesn't like the church bell. She catches fish by hand in the Carp Pools better than any angler, which she eats raw.

Her language adds in some elvish words, but these are generally cussed out and express perhaps elves had enslaved them as one point.

I will add her to the public npc profiles.

The portrait by Silvine can be commissioned and the gp/XP shared pro rata.

Great! Thanks to you both!

Once most of the group is gathered together, Sven calls his friends in close.

“Okay everyone. Time to make some financial commitments to the Adventurers Guild. I know most of you friends are with me on this, so all I need to do is collect the first years dues, and I will show you what I have planned out so far.”

“I will admit, it won’t seem like much right away, but maybe with Orgoth’s building skills, and help from Hungry Deuce who will dwell on site, we can get things moving along quickly.”

“I am charging 100 gold each per member annually, but I promise that none of that money will be spent on anything other than taxes and improving the guild. I don’t intend to profit from the guild in the least, since our profits will come from exploring.”

“We will obviously need to set a small percentage of what we find aside from now on as well for the betterment of the guild, but we probably should have been doing that all along already.”

“So, who’s in? Orgoth? Gerdal? Anyone else?”

Orgoth

"I am in! I will pay the dues obviously, but also have experience as a basic laborer and I learned some bartering and trade type stuff when I was a caravan guard. I will happily help with anything I can, I think this is a great idea. Once set up we could probably help with some of the local projects like the well, it would show we are trying to be part of the community."

Sheet updated for deducted dues.

Isvand shrugs, a bit stiffly still, and says I'm in as well! But we need a cool name! Maybe Advnturers Darning and Dashing? GP deducted
