Arngeir hands a gold coin to Turnip, and takes one himself

He starts by calling on Ylina using to Prayer To Elkyri, asking for her help in his search for knowledge :

Percentage: [1d100]=4

A MS, so +20 to psychometry:

Percentage: [1d100]=10

Turnip watches with great interest as the viking enter his trance, watching so he may do so undisturbed.

His body is interred by Way Marker XXFV, approximately 10 leagues north-north-east of here along the Southern Way.

XXFV is a series of runes that Arngeir could recognize but doesn't know the meaning of, possibly a distance.

Due north of the marker's north facing point 3 feet, then 2.5 feet down, buried under a pile of rocks, feet towards the marker.

I tried to be very specific since you have bonus info on the answer.

Algrim would know that markers are generally laid out so the points of the square shape align with the compass directions whenever possible.

Fili to Algrim, "Thank you Algrim. If it is there with my body I had a clan ring, if you would return it to my clan the next time you are in Azadmere I would appreciate that as well."

Turnip gets up to standing postition after having waited for Arngeir to conduct his trance.

"We'll help you Fili. One more thing. Do you recognize this?"

She presents her bag.

Fili to Algrim, "Thank you Algrim, I am in your debt."

Turning to Turnip, "That is a message bag. We had one here. We kept it in the main hall most of the time in case something showed up in it. But we hid it away here when we left in case the invaders found the place. But we wanted it here in case any Khuzdul scouts needed to hide here and send a message, so we hid it where they would know to look."

He pauses a moment, then with a chuckle, "There is a secret spot in the privy next to the hole."

Turnip also addresses Fili

"Fili, is there something you want us to do for you? Do you have a clan in Azadmere to who we could return your remains? Do you want us to bring them something else? Some message?"

She then turns to Arngeir

"Maybe just see if you can find out which road they took? Might be overgrown by now, but anything that will help us finding this way marker without getting lost."

Arngeir

Encouraged by the strength of his mental connection, he takes a chance...

"Can you show me the road to the way marker?"

Fili walks/floats to Algrim and looks intently at the key. "Where did you find that Algrim? That key was in Azadmere when we abandoned this outpost. Please tell me how you came by it Algrim, it is a very important key."

Fili seems to ignore everyone else as he focuses on the key.
