Re: More Anything Goes
Noticed that too. Maybe it's just easier to manage if you deal out a fixed amount at once and then wait 10rds for it to revert.
Healing Spells
By the way, I thought I remembered making a tweak to the healing rules for clerics, and I'm glad I checked. From: 03b. Cleric
"Healing Spells (Cleric)
While the function of the Cleric is certainly not limited to healing, it is important that they improve upon that ability each time they attain a new level of spells. With the exception of the new 2nd-level 'Cure Moderate Wounds' spell, the list should be largely familiar:
1st Level: Cure Light Wounds: Cures 1d8 damage (minimum: 1 damage healed)
2nd Level: Cure Moderate Wounds: Cures 2d8 damage (minimum: 3 damage healed)
3rd Level: Cure Blindness and Cure Disease
4th Level: Cure Serious Wounds: Cures 3d8 damage (minimum: 7 damage healed)
5th Level: Cure Critical Wounds: Cures 4d8 damage (minimum: 9 damage healed)
6th Level: Heal
7th Level: Resurrection
Notes:
1. All "Cure [severity] Wounds" spells will heal a minimum of 1 damage per level of the caster (You will roll results normally and raise any rolled amount up to the casters level if the rolled amount is lower.)
2. Clerics may pray for and memorize any spell available to them, but may swap any memorized spell(s) for a 'Cure [severity] Wounds' spells of the same level on a one-for-one basis."
So, Kaltar and Epsilon each have the ability to cast second level spells and will have this new Cure Moderate Wounds still available to them today. I'll just need your rolls and intended targets for each roll (back in the '20. Recovering at the Sleeping Dragon' thread).

Re: More Anything Goes
I dont think there is anything else for Shanny to trian before we continue.
I/he already did his hitpoints and thief skills too.
Anything else?
he needs to get to Mage 2 before trying to learn spells? (one he already failed once FEATHERFALL, and others from Garth's book HOLD PORTAL, SLEEP, ARMOR, ENTANGLE, i think)
does he need to get to Mage 2 before trying to copy spells?

No, go ahead and make checks for any spells from Garth you're interested in transcribing.Stonjuz wrote:does he need to get to Mage 2 before trying to copy spells?

Re: More Anything Goes
True fans (i.e. honest fans, not TBFIB) know when their team is sucking eggs because they aren't driving in runs and they get caught leading off when they have no intention of stealing (??) and are happy to indicate thusly if queried. Should have had last night's game (last two, actually) in the books early on instead of leaving more runners stranded than I can count on my two hands.dmw71 wrote:From: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=1858#notAlethan wrote:Truth.tooleychris wrote: Good bunch of peeps here (although the Cardinals fans are the smartest!)

But True Fans also still believe their team can pick up the pieces and push forward.

Lamentations for not being able to win the series in Game 5, mostly because I'm sure the Boston riots will be historical when they lose. If it goes the other way, I think Cards fans would react properly; only rioting I can remember taking place here was all Axl's fault (See #5). Tried to look up any footage of possible riots related to Cubs in the World Series, but my microfiche machine broke last week.

Speaking as someone with Pirates season tickets: I can't be bothered to care whether the $150 million payroll or the $115 million payroll wins.

Hehe... Hopefully Dave knows I keed, I keed.

What's sad is that I'm old enough to have used microfiche... I remember using it in high school to look up articles for papers. Heck, I used it in college for papers, as well, iirc.
I used to make fun of one of the older women who was on my software support team (before she retired) because I had to go through her cabinet one day to try and find some papers and I found a box with old paper punch cards and a canister of reel tape!!!!

Grim will climb down from the roof, find Jaspers wife, and ask what she knows about this strange temple in town...

You looking for a 200 experience point penalty? Keep it up, half orc. Keep it up.

Re: More Anything Goes
I think we should head down the tunnel toward the trog layer before exploring. I want to loot the joint.
Re: More Anything Goes
Agree that we should stick to the left tunnel first, upon entry, to avoid the spiders until later.wolfpack wrote:I think we should head down the tunnel toward the trog layer before exploring. I want to loot the joint.
Not sure what we'll see when we return. If there are bloated trog bodies everywhere, we might just be begging for the trog stench to cover up the smell of decaying corpses. I'm kind of hoping the spiders will pick them up and use them, though, if they don't mind the taste of trog. Or if they're cleared out, then it could also mean that there were remaining trogs and they disposed of the bodies.

Re: More Anything Goes
I see two issues with the tunnels: they're narrow, and they loop around. Attacking at the entrance makes it harder for them to flank us. If we move into the tunnel, we should figure out a way to block or defend ways to get at our backs. Do we have any magical means of putting up walls or other barriers?
