Innana the fighter:

Innana will wait to see if Thordin can make some decent chips in the stone statue. If all goes awry, Innana will whistle and try to capture the attention of the statue and throw her net on the statue.

Marodin and Tratiln boldly step into the room to engage their flinty foe. They both attack, weapons blurring through the air, but neither hits their target hard enough to cause damage. The statue moves slowly, but its great fists strike with crushing force as it bears down on Tratiln. The evasive elf is able to dodge the first blow, but the second punch lands with enough force that the he sees stars. The two hear Lanny call out a warning that the statue may be programmed to attack only those entering the room.
Man, another critical hit from the statue, and some crappy rolls for you guys. Tratiln takes 8 hp damage. So, I just want to apologize for the confusion and slow posting. Hopefully things will be getting back to normal from here on out. Part of the issue, I believe, is that this is perhaps not the best adventure for either pbp or a large party such as this; more traps and tricks than I normally like, with small rooms that limit the number of people that can act.

Tratiln, reeling from the blow, barely hears Lanny's voice over the ringing in his ears but is able to stumble out of the room, heeding his compatriots advice.

Thordin the dwarf, with a roar, charges into the statue swinging the mighty blade Dannedd Blaidd with reckless abandon.

Perhaps you do not fear my companion's weapons, sculpted one, but you will learn to fear mine!
Thordin is using his rowan shield with the magic sword in his main hand, bringing his AC down to 0. +7 to hit, 1d12+3 damage, -2 AC bonus vs. 1 opponent, 1 deflection attempt/round at a 7 or better chance.

Lanny the elf

Lanny watches as Thordin enters the room to challenge the statue. He has an idea that might assist Thordin.

"I will turn invisible and go in there behind him to distract the statue... Give us room to withdraw, if necessary... but I doubt it will be necessary, if I know Thordin..."
This round: Lanny sets down sword, casts Invisibility on himself, then picks up sword

Next round: Lanny will enter room (if not already occupied by 2 PCs) and wave his visible sword in the statue's general direction (not to attack it, but simply to distract it), effectively taking a defensive position and remaining invisible while Thordin hacks away at it for the duration of the combat. Lanny normally has AC 1 when using a shield, and this move should give him up to an additional -4 bonus to AC for being a (mostly) "Unseen Target" (DD Rulebook, page 138).

Lanny will withdraw from the room if he is reduced to 2/3 health (8 hp or less), or if Thordin withdraws.

Bregalad the elf

Feeling his spear will do little to chip the statue, Bregalad will ready his sword and shield.
The elf will wait for the sturdy dwarf to charge in first, and then move in afterwards (if there is enough space).

Round Two

The two retreat and Thordin enters the room. The statue flails about with massive stone fists but canot connect; Thordin's magical blade bites deeply into the thing's side. Lanny mutters arcane syllables and vanishes!
I rolled out combat on my phone, and didn't link to the rolls. Lanny may enter the room at the beginning of the next round, as desired.

Lanny the elf

Lanny darts into the room and immediately takes up a defensive position with his sword and shield. The sword, which he had set on the ground prior to casting his spell, is visible.

"I am here, Thordin, and I will try to distract the statue. Finish it!"

He wields his sword defensively, not attacking, and continues to taunt the statue to allow Thordin a few more solid strikes against it.
AC 1 normally, up to -4 bonus to AC for Invisibility, possible bonus to AC for Total Defense action. Lanny will withdraw from the room if he is reduced to 2/3 health (ie. reduced to 8 hp or less), or if Thordin withdraws. Otherwise, he will remain for the duration of the combat. I am ok if you wish to roll out a couple of rounds of combat at a time if riftstone is too.

Innana the Fighter:

Innana's intentions are the same. She has her net ready if needed. Innana daydreams of a day where she will have a couple of magical swords. Innana sighs, "oh well at least I have my handy dandy net."

Lanny the elf

The invisible Lanny, visible sword in hand, pauses at the door before entering the room, upon hearing Thordin's call about the magical dagger. He turns to Innana who is standing by the door.

"Innana, do you wish to go in there with Hedfan? If so, I will back you up."
If Innana wants to try her magical dagger on the statue, Lanny will let her go into the room instead of him. If not, Lanny will go in as previously stated. Innana, just so you know, the statue has a +6 to hit, meaning that it can hit your AC 3 with a roll of 11 or higher on 1d20 (a 50/50 chance), with 2d4 damage on each successful hit. On the other hand, at least you can hit the statue, which is more than Lanny can do in his invisible state. Your call! ;)

Innana the Fighter:

Innana hears Thordin, and Lanny, and perks up. "That would be great Lanny if you could cover." Innana grabs Saul's old magical dagger, and the net. Innana intend to spin in towards the statue, cognoscente of where Thordin is wielding his sword. And of where Lanny will be, and see what damage the dagger can do. She carries a shield in her other hand.
If more than one round is played out Innana intends to throw her net if Lanny can pull the attention of the stone statue away from the warriors.

Lanny the elf

"Do what you can, and withdraw if needed. Good Luck!"

Lanny turns to the elves and Drudsa.

"We may want to be ready with some Magic Missiles if they should have any trouble..."
I'm assuming only 2 persons can be in the room at a time, so by covering her Lanny simply meant he will take Innana's place in the room if she gets hurt too badly and needs to withdraw. If Lanny CAN actually fit into the room as a third person non-combatant, he will do so, as per my previous declared action.
One nice thing about Magic Missiles is that they can be safely fired into a melee - they never miss their target!

Rounds Three through Five

Innana darts in and is able to score an immediate hit against the monster, scraping her magical dagger across the thing's rocky hide. The monster swings wildly and Thordin's blow comes a second too late; he sets himself up for a brutal counterstroke that he is luckily able to avoid at the last instant. The following seconds at tense; Innana is unable to land another telling blow but Thordin quickly recovers and delivers one blow after another. The statue pummels the dwarf briefly before it shatters into a hundred pieces.

In the aftermath of the struggle Innana notices a hollow below where the statue had stood. Peering inside she sees a sword, sheathed in ancient letter and with a hilt wrapped in silver wire.
I've started using a critical miss table; nothing too serious, just a 1d8 table. Thordin rolled a 1, and the result on the table was a free attack against him. Which missed.

"I am afraid I cannot help with that as I have prepared Charm Person instead of Magic Missile."

As Thordin and Innana turn the statue into rubble Drudsa smiles in relief "Well, that was impressive."

Drudsa will not step into the room before the others have signaled it to be safe. If shown the sword & letter he will try to make sense of any writings or symbols with his arcane knowledge.

Innana the Fighter:

Looks at the sword, and automatically reaches for it almost feeling frantic with excitement from the possibilities of what this sword may be. She stops herself, and steps back. "Somebody want to check this hole, and sword for any traps or bad juju?"
Innana looks to her friends. "Thanks for reminding me of the magical dagger, and backing me up." Innana smiles, "that was fun!"
