OOC
Re: OOC
No. From the daggers perspective the answer would be no since he never came back. Maybe a question about why he left the dagger would be good if you could word it such that it is a one word answer.
Re: OOC
My brain is a little scrambled, but I'll think on it.
I can only assume the pendant is there to help locate where to use the key, not quite sure about the dagger, there seems nothing special about it.
Maybe a question as to who made it or where it is from might help. Hmmm. Algrim might be able to tell if it drawf made

Re: OOC
I thought I would look over everyone's sheets and see what I could come up with.
Algrim: The best knowledge of Khuzdul outposts, probably only in the group. He also has the most knowledge of keys, locks and crafts in general.
Argneir: The least applicable knowledge. Disembodiment could be used to scout the ruins. It is dangerous and the only thing you can "see" in your Astral form is something that posses an Aura, ie living things and magical/divine/psionic items spells etc. Note that they appear as their Aura not physical form so interpretation can be difficult. But if you suspect more hidden magic items it might give you confirmation and make it easier for Idril to locate them with her Sensitivity. Psychometry has already been discussed but is your best option to get starting points for further study. I didn't see any Invocations that would help in this case.
Idril: Clairvoyance Far option could be used to focus on a specific remote person or object whose location may not be known. In this case she could try for a lock the key fits or Baild of Elendsa. Several other options I am sure I am not thinking of at the moment. Sensitivity has already been used but may come in handy as some more info is discovered, I could be missing something of course so don't hesitate to try off the wall ideas. I didn't see any Invocations that would help in this case.

Re: OOC
Thanks Rex
I still thinking about the dagger and why it might be there. I'm now wondering if it has more significance that I originally gave it. "What is the daggers function beyond a being a weapon" might be an interesting question. Worst case is an answer of 'nothing'.

sorry I don't have much to add to the whole question asking bit here.

Re: OOC
nah it's all good. I just apparently can't think of anything that would help with the process.

Everyone please welcome sastaz to the game. He has played HM before so is familiar with the system and we have been chatting about the game in PM's. He is working on a thief/hoodlum type PC and I will be introducing her into the game soon.
