Pranks will wait for her reply.

Pranit’s idea is to drop his bag on the seat he left. Come up behind him on his right side, grab his R upper arm with my right hand, pretending that I am trying to get by, then grab the left rear hem of his jacket with my left hand and raise it, allowing nalilia to zap him under the suit.

He will be easier to handle awake, I think. With a weapon in his ribs, he might cooperate, if not, then I will pull the trigger.

When the moment comes, Nālani steps in close. Pressing her stunner against his chest she says Hedben, I thought you were dead., then leaning in to plant a social air-kiss on his cheek, whispers You still might be.. Aloud she asks Won't you sit with us?

Hebden looks shocked. How could he have been so stupid as to have missed Nālani? The feel of a barrel in his ribs and someone grabbing him from the other side was quite obvious. He sits compliantly.

He slides into a window-seat near the door of the Restaurant car, slipping his bag beneath his legs

How did you...? Look I'm sorry and all but I need to get off quick. There are some guys at the station that are going to literally kill me if they catch me...and probably you too.

That last statement sounds like an afterthought, but also has a ring of his believing it.

Hebden has somehow managed to exclaim all this quietly - the rest of the carriage is carrying on oblivious to the action in the corner.

When he is sitting quietly, Pranit will collect his bag and the binned phone.

Sitting back down, "I doubt anyone followed us, we arrived last station via random vehicle.

So, you cam off a watched ship, into a vehicle in front of the security cameras and then went directly to the station and got out of the same vehicle in front of the security cameras. They didn't need to "Follow You"!

Most of it legal. But the buyer didn't want the shipments traced given the funding source. And then there were the occasional people transfers too. And that Gorilla (but that was after your time). Anyway it all went well until their second ship broke and the Adok's fell out with everyone and the Navy was paid off to shut the whole transport infrastructure down. I guess they decided on the Belt as their base as their war was going well by then.

I have been thinking about that myself. My first thought was to change trains, perhaps go straight back. It will take them time to realise we are not leaving the station, and they may split up to cover destinations. Now it occurs to me that we might be better staying on the train. I think I can call in some protection at the other end.

What was your Plan B?

The orbital space remains clear. The Queen seems to be being quietly ignored.

To the North, you can see another ship manoeuvring to land at the pole. You'd guess that they are handling about 1 ship every 15 minutes instead of one per minute when the automated systems were fully operational! The smaller vessels are being diverted elsewhere about the asteroid. The destruction of the port infrastructure that took place at the time the queen was attacked looks quite thorough.

Having kept up with her sister, and having played this ruse many times before, Noor is quite comfortable being her twin.

She orders drinks for the group and graciously fulfills requests for autographs. Noor keeps an eye on the carriage door window, hoping to catch a glimpse of the situation.

Noor takes a moment to catch a breath and radios over to the others. "Are we good?"
