Chapter 05: Round the bend

Thorelf wakes up from his stupor.

"Yes, coming, coming! This seems strange though...."

[Rex]

Tiny

"Everything has been strange."

[Nordbo]

Eaton (as NPC)

"Where is our jittery spell master?" and looks back for Richard.

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin stops again and calls back "Grab Richard will ya Thorelf?"

[Rex]

Tiny

"He is always getting lost."

[DareDevil]

Richard looks up from just behind Korin, and wonders who people are looking for.

[Nordbo]

Inside the disguised door, a round staircase leads upward.

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin shakes his head and starts moving upwards with motive and speed.

[Rex]

Tiny

Tiny follows Korin.

[sastaz]

Thorelf follows along, shaking his head as well.

"Is this a dream or is someone making fun of us?"

[Rex]

Tiny

"Everyone makes fun of me."

[Nordbo]

The stairs keep on winding upwards. After a while, you notice that it becomes a bit of a climb. <phew>!

Korin stops takes a break drinks some from his waterskin then continues on.

[Rex]

Tiny

Tiny does likewise.

[Nordbo]

Having trundled upwards for what seems like hours (but in reality maybe 20 minutes or so), the ascending adventurers bump into a ceiling. A deck of planks up above your heads - a bit like a cover for a well.

Eaton (as NPC)

"By Shalsheeba's skulls, what's holding you up ? I hear someone coming, more steps below"

[Rex]

Tiny

"Do you need a hand to lift it Korin?"

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin starts pushing to try and open any opening above them to get the hell out of this annoying place.

The planks start to budge slightly - but perhaps Tiny's assistance would be helpful.

Korin to Tiny "Yeah, I could user yer help Tiny."

[Nordbo]

With combined efforts, the two break out into.....


....daylight!
