No problem Spearmint.
And good luck with your trip, by the way. If you happen to be around Stuttgart at some point, which I doubt because it's a little out of the way, just give me a shout.

+100xp for anniversary and horse added. Hopefully, once we find Elder Barraclough and conclude this trip, Golgarth might level up!

Karl probably doesn't have the egg, although it seems he may be more aware of the situation than we know ...Stirling wrote: ↑Fri May 13, 2022 3:05 pmI am not sure. But he is forge-master and priest of Moradin and reading between the lines (and forum threads), the Soothsayer points to him or at least associates.Karl has the egg?
It makes sense. Another thought, how does Lord Krothos feel about the dwarves having a dragon egg? Anyone think he might want it too? After all, having gained the staff and crown of Silas, Chief of the Barbarians, he might think riding a dragon he can tame the next thing to establish his reign?

Couldn't find any specific information about KB or his kin currently possessing the egg, but that is a valid assumption.
I had guessed that LK wanted it for himself all along as well.
These intertwining plot hooks are evolving rapidly.

This is ooc conversation that the Soothsayer had with Golgarth and the militia guards the day before yesterday. Perhaps the guards relayed those words back to the guard Captain who now stands in the cell area also. The last phrase, 'release me while you have time' suggests some doom upon us that he might be able to halt?"Listen. You are the savages. My kin warded the Moor for a millennia until the berserkers came. Your tomb robbers unleash the denizens of the Nine Hell's and my people bear the brunt to ward you.
I am not the one who killed yours kinsmen. Release me while you still have time."
Hmmm ... if you only had some of that sand or dust from the Barrowmaze you could blow in the face of the vicar and guard, they might forget what they heard here and the secret can be kept between us all ....

One of two definitely knows much more about the saurons than he's admitting, though ...

Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
Reading through all the threads as ooc knowledge but I would guess that Bharazd'had recognised Sven by his distinctive hair/garb and that was why he made the comment linking the blame for the captives death to someone in the room (assuming we don't know of extra ooc knowledge regarding the Vicar and guard captain). One of two definitely knows much more about the saurons than he's admitting, though ...
Going out on a limb here to piece circumstantial evidence together, I would say the plumed helm brought to the forge to be worked as a tribute inadvertently provoked the dwarves at the forge to who might have slain the envoy group of Saurons'. Maybe the dwarves communicated, "it was not us" to the lizardmen and pointed the blame towards 'so and so warrior and the mage with carrot hair'? Either that or the dead Saurons' communicated it via a 'Speak with Dead' spell, "we were ambushed by these figures"? (Or more disturbingly, even while chained, the Soothsayer can access some ESP or scrying knowledge?)
Interesting that the random group of Sylvester and Brulé mentioned meeting a disparate group of Moon Peakers, dwarves who had cut their chomages (warrior topknot hairstyle). If such a group are still in Helix, they will be easier to spot.
Another thought. (Sorry don't mean to butt in on others storylines but I enjoy reading all the threads), but your dwarf comrade Fydmar received an axe as a gift from Greybeard and now back in Helix looked for a warrior at the forge to help train him in using it. Could he be your spy in the machinations and politics at the Dwarf forge?
You also know ooc that Karl Barrelgut recognised the strange heavy ingot of Orgoth as a contraband item used in creating golems. And I think he inferred he 'had contacts' who might be interested in buying it and crafting with it? Anyone know much 'Golem Lore'?
The Soothsayer called the Dwarves usurpers. Are they intent on raising a dragon and aiding unknown groups to create golems, to what end?
Another ooc knowledge from threads, but didn't Osen employ two characters to 'go infiltrate and spy upon Bresnan and his ranch' concerned because the rancher was integrating hobgoblin forces into some "all nations community' and feared that with Ollis the Advisor's backing, the Hobgoblins would reinforce the village militia. Osen also wanted 'information and proof' of 'strange bangings and crafting' taking place in secretive barns. (Bresnan's Ranch and Brazen Strumpet threads).
Is Bresnan the one to whom the dwarves export golem ingots to?
Anyone else starting to trust Lizardmen more than Dwarves?
