A procedurally generated megadungeon, under a ruined city that is rebuilding from a war. The city is busy with activity. So is the megadungeon. Dread cultists emerge from there to haul down sacrificial victims, whose souls sustain the archlich.

You can seek to conquer the lich, or simply to loot the catacombs that sprawl beneath the city, vast beyond mapping.

In the city, you can engage in intrigue and open warfare between the three dominant factions, or just rest and recover - at first. As time goes on and you become puissant, the factions will try to make you offers that you can't refuse.

Squid is interested. Anyone else?

Hi, new here. This looks interesting. I will tentatively say I'm in. I'd like to hear more about how this will be run. I browsed the guide already. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Hi, Algernon! Did I hook you with my Discord post?

If we get three players (you, Squid, and another) then I'll run as GM. If we don't get a third player, we'll do this collaboratively - I'll run a character, and we'll rotate descriptions of the prompts that we roll up in the setting guide.

The reason for the differing procedures is that I have run Sargolis before (when it was just the catacombs) and found that three heroes are about the minimum needed to survive it. That game is still going, and has moved on to the surface world away from this ruined city. But we really enjoyed Sargolis and I think there's a lot of surprises left in it for me.

Oh - a note about the "collaboratively" bit. To make it more interesting, we could use https://tibbiusgames.itch.io/bcard-recluse as an oracle that confounds and twists around our ideas.

Definitely. I am using a similar Oracle in a game I am running now. I have been letting the players roll on it, probably too much, making things interesting for me. They are having a blast with it though, so I guess it is ok. Just keeps me on my toes a bit. :)

I too am keen to play!

But also up for it still being collaborative if you'd want it that way
