Re: Off Duty #4 (OOC)
Good to hear you're doing ok.
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Re: Off Duty #4 (OOC)
Hope everyone weathered the ice storms the last week or so. I know what we got last week went up toward New England where some of you live. It was a doozy for us, and hope it was not more than you could manage.
I want to give Mac, Jason, and Joker a chance to reply before I post anything up, but start thinking about what your next moves are because I am going to look for a bit of a time jump. I will likely have each of you post about what you are doing for the next several hours and have you make rolls accordingly, then make the next major post after that.
I still have the original Kindle post up for quick reference. If you want to go there to have a meeting or strategize, that is good for me. Might be easier moving back and forth on the same thread to compile what you have learned and plan to do. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Off Duty #4 (OOC)
So looking at our assets, I noticed a few things. First, do we still have 25 points to distribute on the Ecto? And secondly, I believe you may have made a slight error in the accounting thread. It looks like we currently have $99,000+ in petty cash.
I'm pretty sure we actually have 90k less than what is listed.

The exto is improved and repaired, so it has a boost in statsScott308 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 5:01 am So looking at our assets, I noticed a few things. As for the accounting error... that is why I am a Special Ed English teacher and not a Math teacher! Meant to take a zero off that. Will edit it soon. Thanks for the catch!

Have yall looked at the views on the What have you read about Kindel thread? I think we have folks reading out stuff! LOL! Kind of humbling, really. I know people read forums that are not necessarily part of the game, but I never dreamed this game would get so much attention. And that is just one thread.

Re: Off Duty #4 (OOC)
yeah but also if you refresh the page I think it counts you viewing it again, same with if you go back and edit your post possibly. But still impressive.

Re: Off Duty #4 (OOC)
Every time I get a notification and go to it I would also count as a view, which happens with each post. But that said, it is still a very impressive number.
Re: Off Duty #4 (OOC)
Yes, and the Firehouse 2 thread in the Archives I realized holds the record so far at over 29k. I know that every refresh etc. tallies up, but yall have to understand that when I started this game in 2018 I honestly thought it was going to fall on its face which is why it had a very scooby doo monster of the week format at first. To have seen it come together like this for 4 years now is humbling, and I don't use the word lightly. It is also why occasionally I step away for short periods to assess and figure out where to take things in the now overall plan I have because I want to keep delivering something with some quality to it. Slow parts cant seem to be helped, but I do try to keep things moving and have a mechanism or three in place to cause a little chaos as well.
That being said, I am always open to feedback and criticism. I might be a GM here, but I am not perfect. I actually plan to slowly scale down from other games as they complete so I am able to put a little more focus here. Of course, I say that but summer is coming and we all know I tend to get bore and hyperpost for about 2 months and adopt two or three more games too. So we will see! But seriously, thanks guys for making this a great thread that others want to read. I could write novels on here and it would mean nothing without you guys here to play off my writing and turn it into something worth reading.

*sincere round of applause*
You're doing fine, BH. Personally, I think a slightly goofy "Scooby Doo" tone is perfect for a Ghostbusters game.

Re: Off Duty #4 (OOC)
It works for me I can admit that part Bob

Brett has it really been 4 years holy crap lol that would probably be the longest game on here I have played in then. I think my Mystara game is the longest I've run ever in RL or in PBP.

Re: Off Duty #4 (OOC)
I haven't been in right from the start, but it has been great a great game for sure. You are doing a great job, mixing stuff up occasionally is a good thing in my opinion.
Re: Off Duty #4 (OOC)
okay folks, I have hit that time of they year with my job and will be a little more touch and go i think. Please, be patient. My plan is to try to check here at least every other day and get a post in or at least have my notes together for when i get a chance to jot it all down. Thanks, as usual, for understanding.

We get busier during the summer- trauma season. First nice day resulted in our first motorcycle wreck. Safety tip- always wear a helmet on your bikes, be they motorcycle, bicycle, moped, or scooter.

Some days writing up the next post looks like it is going to be so easy and then poor Mac always seems to roll a ghost dice! LOL!
