Freya watches the entire team debus - including Camp Freddie (who is no doubt lagging slightly and keeping up the appearance of the least important target!)

Turning she realises she hasn't a clue who the remaining guys are!

Use you judgement to support the assault team...keep an eye on those ships gun-turrets...and don't get shot.
Freya looks carefully at the gunner and driver's uniforms looking for some hint of who is the vehicle commander...

...And out of the back door to check no-one is making for the rear of the vehicle.

She also directs her drone to look behind the ships in case one or more is hiding some form of counter-attack.

And on comms...Freddie: What do you see?

Love sends "George light 'em up!" She fires and her target drops George fires but to no effect. His target returns an autofire burst which sends rounds ricocheting off his helmet but causing him no harm. Beau pulls the detonator on the fuel drum and rolls it down hill. It snags on something and rolls short but its detonation surely serves to suppress the Avastan infantry emerging from their dugout. Suddenly autofire rakes Beau, Love and George from behind. Heavy calibre rounds tear the berm's rim around them George exclaims "Lummie, we're gettin' it up the Aris an' no mistake!" Beau is knocked forwards gasping "Well, dang it!" followed immediately by "Pardon my cussin' ma'am"

Meanwhile, Jakob drops a "homewrecker" down the trap door. It clatters downwards and its arrival is greeted by shortlived cries of dismay. Jakob drops down the ladder after the detonation and looks north to see two bodies in API infantry gear who were apparently the crew for an embrasured autogreande launcher. They are either dead or in very bad shape from the grenade's blast. Looking south he sees another ladder leading down and a quilted heat curtain strung over an alcove to the rear. A figure in an API CES pushes the curtain aside and Jakob gives him a burst of autofire which strikes his left leg and cuts him down.

Jakob can hear confused shouts from the alcove and sounds of movement from the ladderway leading below.

Jakob takes the simple expedient of dropping another grenade down the chute as he comms his team to have enough sense to come in out of the autofire.

I think Jakob's armor is better than the others, so he stays in front to draw more fire. Liv probably isn't pleased about the idea, but he's not telling her. He's not interested in carrying a body home, either.

Frank

Frank follows Voss' prompt "Sir, movement about the Aeogz".

As Frank watches the awnings and drapes artfully drop away from the exterior of the Vargr corsair. With the aid of his onboard optics he notes that some panels seem to have what looks to be a "chameleon" surface on their inner side. Frank sees that the corsair is no longer standing on its undercarriage legs but is being held at the hover in what he guesses to be a rather deft piece of piloting. A massive pennant unfurls among the warship's antennae. Frank sees what a herald might describe as a wolf's head (Sable) above crossed bones (Sable) on a field (Or) - the colours of the Kforuzeng corsair band. Then the triple beam laser mounts either side of the Aeogz's snout(?) flash and streak destruction due north and south while twin autocannon mounted further forward hose rounds into the API positions.

Focussing back Frank sees the Starport's SE Flak Tower (at F10) suffer serious damage to its fighting platform followed immediately by secondary detonations from within the tower. The tower at the NE (A 10) seems unscathed and indeed Frank sees crewmen rushing to man its weapon systems. Then an almost imperceptible list becomes a definitive lean and the entire structure topples out of sight behind the bulk of the shipyards.

Against the background of this destruction a ground car with flashing emergency lights careers towards the Avastan VCP guarding the easternmost berm. The vehicle steers erratically and, ignoring the frantic directions and then rifle fire of the VCP sentries, veers wildly to crash into the entrance to the bunker with the additional sentries. An explosion vastly in excess of that which could be expected from a traffic accident more or less levels the bunker.

Frank notes the mortar section have acknowledged his fire order and are shown as engaging the API HQ building.

Prerna takes a quick scan all around her vehicle for any threats while she keys her team circuit. "You kids in the back, man your vision ports and sing out if you see anything dangerous." She switches to the vehicle channel. "Driver, come left to three six zero maintain fifty k-p-h and one meter altitude. Gunner, scan for hostiles, front arc."

Prerna's IFV moves to give LOS to the Flak Tower adjacent to the Aslan attack. The commander/gunner takes aim and fires multiple bolts of superheated plasma at the tower. The eye searing bolts flash across the runway and impact the missile mount atop the tower. One of the big space capable missiles is hit in its launcher and the warhead detonates decapitating the Flak Tower.

Freya is aware of the cold blast of air as the IFV's ramp drops and then finds herself rather alone. The IFV crew spin and drift the vehicle so as not to offer the open door to hostile fire while Freya anxiously watches "her" team.

Killer fires at the guard running up the stairway. Killer's burst goes low taking the fleeing figure in the back of the knee - he drops and rolls a short way back down the stairs. Freya registers that the camo pattern on his gear is one she has seen before. Odd seeing as they should all be almost effectively random? She notes that the stricken guard wears a brassard bearing an Imperial sunburst and the legend “ISS Sec For”. Meanwhile, the guard at the top returns fire with an energy weapon. The invisible beam clearly strikes Killer as a puff of superheated armour blooms over his chest and he pitches forwards and lies still. Johnny charges the stairway screaming away his fear and firing from the hip. He plasters the hull around the airlock but fails to hit the shooter inside. As Johnny starts the stairs Freya hears "Anti Armour out" Freddie, rifle slung, starts with short steps to get his footwork right then opens his stride as his speed increases and, right arm straight, he pitches at the air lock. His left foot stamps down and a few yards from his hand the safety handle flies loose as the grenade arcs upwards. In the air lock the guard loses sight of the missile and momentarily relaxes. With that threat averted he takes aim at the merc charging up the stairs. Then the grenade lands in the air lock - perfectly pitched in short. The guard has no time to react as the missile bounces up towards crotch height and explodes.

Johnny gains the top of the stairs with Freddy close behind. He screams over the comm "Come on then you fekkers - I'll 'ave the lot of you!" at this a male in shipboard dress emerges from the air lock. Seemingly terrified by Johnny's fixed bayonet and demeanour he raises his hands higher for good measure. Without the breaking stride of his ascent Johnny somehow finds the energy to kick the male right in the slats and barge past him. As the poor sod flails forwards Freddy deftly trips him down the stairs which surely only adds to his pain and discomfort. Freddy coolly reports "Ma'am, Killer needs a medic and a well coiffured but now somewhat tousled gentleman claiming to be a surrendering officer of the ship Deliverance is currently counting his testicles on the stairs". Still on the same channel he replies to what must be a non verbal from Johnny "Oh, I'm right behind you love - that'll be my hot breath on your neck".

Johnny and Freddy enter the Deliverance and are lost to sight.

Able and his two troopers set off from the IFV's ramp at a run. Able directs the SAW gunner to one flank and orders "Whiskey, shoot us in. Dog, get yer fight on - 'ere we go!"

Two mercs go right as their support splits left and then goes prone. The SAW hammers the local guards at the ship's airlock. As the mercs close the locals are literally shot to pieces constantly being hit by DS rounds from either the charging pair or their support weapon as even their high tech armour plates avail them nought. One local goes down under the suppressing fire of the SAW and the other is too shot up to even return fire effectively. He turns to try the air lock doors but finds he can gain no entry. He hammers on the hatch to no avail and then turns to throw his weapon down and his hands in the air as Able and Dog close in. He becomes a fully compliant POW.

After examining the air lock and failing to gain entry Able reports "Boss, we might 'ave an entry issue problem 'ere".

"Righto, boss" Able and his team set about placing their charge on the hatch.

Meanwhile, if Kit has to use explosive entry to Saxon (he does) the choice is either a cargo bay door (one hull thickness) or the air lock (two). Note that there are other accessible entrances at ground (Deck 3) level.

Please specify as above

The Charge of the SEMC (Part The Next) [Not quite 3/3]

The RPA-12 thumps and the onboard tactical display shows the two armoured sentries disappear in an burst of superheated plasma. Kit charges down the ramp with Nuts, Ink and Route One and heads for the scorched air lock of the trader Saxon. Kit's new tactical plan takes immediate effect as Able and Freddy's teams also disembark. (Immediate change of orders vis high initiative squads).

Kit leads the team to the hull of the trader and soon finds recessed steps and then handholds and rungs attached to the outside of the hull. Route One volunteers "Revolution should start from the top down" he states it as if it were a quote. Nuts counters amiably with "You ruddy hippy. No time for peace, love an' bong hits once we're inside mate". Kit notes that Nuts climbs well enough despite the PGMP's bulk and that he carries a cut down pump shotgun as secondary armament while Route One favours a streetbat bound with barbed wire. In response Route One asks rhetorically "What's my name?" Ink remains quiet possibly regretting her insistence that she carry the demo charge.

From atop of the trader Kit sees Able blow the outer hatch of the Hawkwind and Johnny and Freddy move inside Deliverance. He sets the charge on the iris valve (which he notes has a very sophisticated lock) and blows it. Ink shoves Route One back and steps out to drop straight down through the shattered valve. Her relatively smaller bulk makes this easy. Route One follows as Nuts hands Kit his power pack to transit the remains of the valve.

Kit hears Ink open fire on full auto. She then shouts a warning "Stand still or I fire you fekker!" the response is a terrified "OK, OK - for feks sake just stop shooting us!!!" Rout One reports "Captured crew, boss".

Kit follows Nuts inside and sees (in the horizontal plane) two staterooms off each side of a corridor leading to an air/raft bay. Sat in the air/raft's seat is a guy in shipboard dress with his hands up. He appaers to be a bonus capture to the two crew (one KO) captured in the corridor by Ink. Forwards is an empty crew rec area. Through an open iris valve in the floor Kit can hear movement below.

With the crew in a position to help, he will make sure that computer control is transferred to himself and clear the ship from top down taking the prisoners off the ship. The goal will be to gather all three ships crews in one place to guard.

Florence. Any sign of the defence's howitzers? Should be multiple new radio contacts by now. Can you identify any calling for specific fire support? And, if so, where the answers are coming from?

Doughal, Dylan: Any indications of any coordinated reaction yet? Particularly interested in their drone support (if any) or any troops looking coordinated

Jakob pulls the pin from another homewrecker and drops it down the ladderway. Needing little persuasion his team drop in behind him. Jakob sees that off this rockcrete walled and windowless room there is a steel door barred on the inside. Having observed from above he is sure this leads into the support trench at the rear of the trench system below the now cleared fortification.

The new prisoners show you to a crew terminal on this deck (rec room) and give you access. Kit notices immediately that the ship's computer is in some kind of purge mode currently shredding, deleting and then overwriting its programmes and core files. He sees that the basic ship functions may be controllable (access and life support) but anything requiring the computer's active intervention or assistance is inaccessible due to the system effectively decimating itself into annihilation. He sees that a separate system is active running within the main system but this is inaccessible from this terminal.

As is Kit controls maybe a third of this ship and three mid/low ranking crew but no more...

Kit will take a moment to see if he can stop it, but it is not his primary mission so he will not spend an extended period of time - need to get back to the other units.

Computer (Computer-2 +2, Int B +1) [_2d6+3]=(3+5)=8+3=11

Either way he will clear the decks and try to exit via one of the lower exits with his prisoners preferably the cargo hold.
