Greetings!

#1 Post by Amondrask »

Hey, folks!

Fairly recent initiate into the fold here, relatively speaking. I've only been exposed in any significant way to D&D 3.5, but I'm very much interested in learning new systems and getting to grips with different settings and groups of people! I don't have a great deal to say, as I've always been fairly terrible at these introductions, but I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome to the Unseen Servant, Amondrask!

I can't say as that we've ever had a 3.5e game run on this forum yet. It certainly isn't because we forbid it - as long as it is a role-playing game, it is welcome here - we just seem to attract more of the old-school crowd. That said, you're CERTAINLY welcome here! We love making converts. ;)

Kidding. Play what you like, and all that. But you're on a great forum if you're interested in learning about older games!

If you haven't already found them, here are some tips on playing games in the PbP format you might want to read:

Welcome, Amondrask!

Many people here are learning new systems, so don't feel alone.

FYI: I never posted a formal introduction. I too am not the best with such things.

Thank you for the welcome, folks! Awfully kind of you!

I don't know about a conversion, but I'm certainly going in with an open mind! It's all just a bit daunting. And thank you for the helpful link! I'm currently trying to figure out what's going wrong with the dice-roller, but I'm sure I'll get to grips with it.

Welcome, Amondrask. Glad to have you on board. I'm not sure if there are any games running 3.0 or later, but at the end of the day, it's more about role/roll playing and less about game mechanics, so hopefully you'll find a game to your liking and have some fun.

Hail and well met, Amondrask!

Although we play a lot of the older and first edition games and their retro-clone rule sets, any edition is good to go. Feel free to lurk and browse as you like, or ask any questions if you got 'em. There's a lot of good folks and great gaming that goes on around here, so enjoy and jump in when you're ready!

... But go ahead and make your save vs Conversion to Old School now anyway... 8-)

"Everything."
