Hmmm…weapons!!

How late at night is it now? Past midnight?

I don’t like trying to keep this jackass alive in the face of sharks without some kind of weapons available…and I’m not taking him near our hotel. What are you thinking, Rando? Shopping then spend the night in a diner waiting on the bank to open to verify transfer?

Dimitri will want to check out the place and see what’s offered.

It's near midnight.

Aesop's has an eclectic selection of goods.

Just post what you're looking for from weapons or gear (civilian only available here in the displays) and you can probably find it.

Alphonse will browse fairly disinterestedly looking for a short sword sized blade, something that can easily be concealed in his overcoat.

Likewise, Dmitri will pretend to be disinterested, but keep his eye out for a dagger. Concealable in a boot sheath would be preferred but not required.

He also has a revolver suppressor/silencer in his pocket that accompanies the revolver he left behind at the nightclub. He will look for the same make and model revolver, or one similar enough to be compatible with the suppressor.

They are not listed in Book 0, so I assume there’s no such things as stun batons?

Aesop’s is a beaten down storefront near the ports. Patrons tend to be down on their luck spacers, drug users, petty thieves,etc. Aesop works the night shift himself having spent, as he puts it, “too many gotdammed years in the light of ‘Ol Nick.

Bladed weapons and handguns are plentiful, stun weapons are nowhere to be seen.

Anybody else want to pick up a radio communicator in case we need to separate and need to keep comms?

Dmitri will pick up a dagger, a ceramic dagger and a revolver of the same make and model as his other one. The only thing special he does is verify the suppressor he already has fits.

Deduction made to character sheet.

He’ll keep the gun with suppressor attached in a jacket pocket, not in the shoulder holster (which is not made for the suppressor).

Good idea on the comms. I guess I’ll pick up another body pistol, might be a little too heaty to head back to the club for our stuff at this point.

Terry will pick up a communicator and a body pistol

If there are such a thing as stun weapons, Dmitri will ask if the shop owner knows of a way to purchase any.

Girded for battle the team is able to purchase replacement weapons for those left behind as well as some communication gear in case they get separated again.

Aesop does have a wide variety of goods but unfortunately bug tracker isn't among the offerings, at least not today.
"Stunning weapons? Well what good are those?" He looks at Dimitri incredulously.

"Not sure where you gents are from but on Port Royal when lead starts flyin not much use in stunning your opponents. May as well use harsh language!" He cackles to himself voice muffled from behind the bullet proof glass.

"Gods, you're serious? Well your funeral I suppose." Aesop rummages around for a few moments then holds up two weapons, the first a baton with a plastic hilt basket to protect the wielder. The second looks like an oversized automatic pistol with yellow trim.

"Shock baton, riot model. Good for about 10 whacks. I've no spare batteries though. Recharge takes ab)out an hour, 150 credits"
(Charged 3d6; 2 die regular, 1 die shock. When discharged 2d6. Treat as club for ranged and armor.)
"Taser, police model, 200 credits including 5 cartridges."
(as auto-pistol, single target, when hit does 3d6 damage all stun, then 2d6 round 2. Cartridges are self contained battery, spool and propellant and must be replaced after each use).

He buys them both then turns to the guys, I really wanted the stun baton. Anybody want the Tazer?

The area near Aesop's is fairly seedy. Bypassing the "hourly rate" and capsule lodging options they find the Starlight Lodge.

"Evnin spacers. Will need 2 rooms for the five of ya, unless ya want the suite. Rooms are 35 a night plus a 15 credit cleaning fee. The suite is 2 bedrooms and a pullout couch. 125 a night plus 50 cleaning fee."
