GreywolfVT,
Weston has the 2nd level priest spell Mind Read, from the Tome Of Magic. Can you confirm that you need to understand the language of the creature for it to work, i.e. a goblin will think in goblin so you need to understand goblin for it to be of use. If this is the case would a Comprehend Languages spell work?

Hmm without looking (because I am at work) I would think yes you should at least know how to speak the language as it would be basically verbally thought imo. Comprehend Languages might work as does it not allow you to understand other languages verbally and or written? (Anyone please correct me if I am wrong.)

Can you cast Mind Read on someone else? I understand Goblin.

Right but then technically Weston is reading Egon's mind/thoughts rather than what the goblin is thinking or knowing.

I think he meant can I cast it on him so he can read someone else's mind.
I think it only allows the caster to read a mind.
I think CL allows the understanding of a creatures spoken language, I was not sure if you could combine the two.

Yeah I mean yes Weston can cast it on Egon but it doesn't work in the manner you are thinking, it would only allow the caster to read the mind of whomever they cast it on at least if my memory serves me correctly.
But I think you are more onto something with combining the two spells it should in theory allow Weston to read a goblin's mind and understand it's native tongue. Unless they are some sort of weirdo that only thinks things in another language.
Anyone here dream or think in another language other than their native tongue?

I don't but one of my employees speaks several languages (5+ depending on what you consider fluent) and she has told me she occasionally dreams in different languages, sometimes multiple in one dream.

Yes, it can happen that you dream in different languages. I speak a couple of languages and it has also happened to me several times.
The first time you have it, they say it's a good sign you're starting to master the language.

I am horrible with learning other languages unfortunately. I wish I was better at it.
