Noor
Unwilling to stay without her crewmates (and guards), Noor rushes to join the exodus. "It looks like the south spaceport is owned by a shell corporation with ties to the Adok Dynasty and the Adok refinery Corp."
"If anyone could easily bypass all security measures, it would be them. We ran into other refinery ties in the VR, didn't we? And of course, there were the payments by Saffa to refineries for something."

Re: Chapter 10: Year 300, Days 7 and 8
The dash of some of the faster party members to check for the escaping suspect and the slower and more sedate transit results in various side-lines by the faster members and the whole lot arriving at the ship more or less on mass. The scene is one of multiple drivers, two ambulances and four security carts all appearing to be bickering, shouting or gesticulating at each other. The Ambulance crews are being obstructed by the crowd as they attempt to manoeuvre their charges to their vehicles - who appear to be arguing that they don't need to be taken away - and the Security guys authority appears to have been ignored by the drivers as they are trampling over any external evidence in their anger.
Judging by the carts, three separate cab-firms were called! There seem to be enough carts for several tens of people.
The suspect seems to have gone to ground or got away clean.

Nālani elbows her way through the crowd alongside Indrani, fizzing with suppressed anger and spitting Belter curses at anyone getting in her way.
I think we will find that our dilemma over the chip has been solved. It, and any other useful information the computer held, is likely gone now.
Seeing the paramedics, she changes course and heads for them, assuming the reluctant patients to be her security guards. If they are, she will ask them what happened. If they are only suffering the effects of a stunner rather than any real injury she insists on them being allowed to stay and report.

Getting (almost) to the stretcher of the younger of the two guards, you are intercepted by an older security officerThe Bindoner wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 7:31 pm Nālani elbows her way through the crowd alongside Indrani, fizzing with suppressed anger and spitting Belter curses at anyone getting in her way.

Move along...
Excuse me. This is a crime-scene...

"I'm Captain Indrani Carter, and that," Indrani points at the hatch, "is my ship. What is going on?"

I will not. This is my ship, and these are my employees. Both have been attacked under your watch. If you want to start to help, then clear away these carts. They were sent as a hindrance, and they remain one, to you as much as me. Restore order, and remove them.Getting (almost) to the stretcher of the younger of the two guards, you are intercepted by an older security officer

Nālani is relying on her appearance, adopted accent and tone of voice to achieve the effect.

Reven Stiilpahth hangs back a bit when he gets near the ship in order to watch - both for threats and possibly an escaping thief.

Noor
She hangs back, within earshot, trying to stay out of the way of the Captain and her official business. She looks around for someone of authority or waits for that person to arrive. The crowd control security guys don't fit the bill.
Noor remarks to Reven. "What are the odds that the local security cameras are offline? Maybe we could backtrack to the entrance and see if any shops have cameras."

Oh - Err...Hang on...Sergeant!
The flustered young man tries to get the attention of a more senior security officer - but with the dispute with the drivers now having reached the shouting-and-not-listening stage, the sergeant appears busy.
Really? Who called you back? Err. Ok.The Bindoner wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 8:50 pm

And with that he leaves you and heads over to where a number of drivers appear to be shouting at the security guys demanding they move their carts so that the taxis can get back to real work...or demanding recompense for time wasted by the security team having summoned them in the first place!

Indrani turns to Pranit. "Stay here and find out what's going on. Keep the crew you need to help you out here, and send everyone else to me. I'm going to try to get back aboard." She turns and makes her way to the hatch to board the ship.

"I'll take Thacho and Reven unless hes got something else going on or a lead with Noor over there."
Have Thacho maintain security and watch the ins and outs of the ship and Reven and I watch the externals and people watching.

"Good thought. If I just casually walked out as if nothing happened, I would have two options. Have an easy exit without crowds, or pretend to be one of the two groups you know will be here. Drivers and security. We really need to get a better look at the footage Nalani had and check those present."
