Re: More Anything Goes

#241 Post by dmw71 »

I'll look into the whole magic-user spell thing tonight.

---

I also wanted to add that a player -- Zhym -- requested access to the forum via PM so they could post in the 'DM Feedback' thread. As they clearly have been following the game, and I welcome all feedback, I did grant them membership.

I trust their in-game posts will be limited to the non-action threads, but do not see this as being a problem.

Just wanted everyone to be aware that the player was added just in case some posts start showing up from an unknown source. ;)

Hey all.

You can use the masculine pronoun. I feel strange being a "they." ;)

And I'll try to resist the urge to post moves in the action threads. That would be weird.

I didn't want to make any assumptions (and can't recall if you shared your name in any of our PMs).

The reference is lost on me, but it's good.

I don't know how many (if any) female players there are on the boards, but with nicknames which don't defy gender being used, I tend to err on the side of caution.

Makes perfect sense. I just thought I'd clarify to make it easier. :)

This is just getting stupid now. Strom can't hit anything and now a natural 1. If Strom dies don't bother to help him, he is a useless shit and deserves to die at this point.

The only way he could be more useless is if he manages to hit and kill Grim with this fumble.

Man... even I can't kick this pally while he's down. Someone must have sneaked a Loadstone* into his backpack.

*Stone of Weight (Loadstone): This magical stone appears to be any one of the other sorts, and testing will not reveal its nature. However, as soon as the possessor of a stone of weight is in a situation where he or she is required to move quickly in order to avoid an enemy - combat or pursuit - the item causes a 50% reduction in movement, and even attacks are reduced to 50% normal rate. Furthermore, the stone cannot be gotten rid of by any means- throwing it away or smashing it notwithstanding - and it will always turn up somewhere on the character's person. If a dispel evil is cast upon a loadstone, the item will disappear and no longer haunt the individual.

It was the people in the Goat Inn, I just know it! They must have slipped a Loadstone into Strom's belongings.

I am not sure which side Strom is on, ours or the Trogs. Lets see!

Strom turns to strike the Trog engaged with Kaltar hoping to drop him quickly and then turn back to face the others.

Attack:
[1d20] = 1

Ok seriously, WTF!!!! Two natural "1" in a row???!!! F**K THIS CHARACTER!
It is confirmed, Strom is with the Trogs -> ENEMY AGENT!

Wow.

Just... wow.

I've never seen the dice roller hate someone as much as it hates Strom. I shan't complain about dice rolls ever, that's for certain!

I hate that he is useless to the group. The only contribution is being able to detect evil, which is not much.

I can't complain too too much though, Darkstar in Hedge's game gets a lot of good rolls. Almost disproportionately the other way.

Oh man, Strom sucks.

Oh, hey, there you go. Think that should hit...

Strom might do better as a berserker? Maybe you could do something evil to lose your spurs and turn into a rage fighter!

For the record, I'm fine with the GM making initiative rolls.

Does anyone object to it?

I have to take my youngest to an appointment tomorrow during the day so I imagine I will be largely unavailable. I will have my phone with me and should be able to still answer any questions that arise, but the next big update (e.g. round 16) likely won't come until later tomorrow night.
