The five soldiers take up the heavy ram and walk to the doors and there began swinging it to impact on the door. Great reverberations fill the passageway at each impact of the ram on the sturdy oaken doors. Finally after 9 strikes the doors separate revealing that they had been barred from the inside with two heavy oak planks. At the moment the doors part a thrown javelin emerges but whizzes past the soldiers to clatter on the ground. The soldiers drop the ram and move to the side of the passage where they began raising their shields and drawing their swords. The doors are just opened maybe 2 ft wide of a gap and nothing can be seen inside the room yet.

Donahue you advance and push the doors wide entering through but at that very moment you hear the shrill Cry of goblin voices saying KREE-AHK and you are then struck by the weight of stone blocks collapsing on you with a thunderous noise and a cloud of dust. You suffer nine damage bringing you down to seven out of 16 hp. Your armor helmet and shield Surely have saved your life. Your Shield is badly damaged but still useable. You were pushed to your knees but incredibly not knocked down.
When the dust settles you can see into the room. You see it is a large room some 50 ft north to south by 50 ft east to west. The double doors you've entered are in the center of the north wall. Directly across from this on the South Wall is another set of closed sturdy looking oaken double doors bound in iron and framed in stone. They have been barred by two heavy looking wooden planks. The vaulted ceiling reaches to about 25 feet. In the center of the room huddle a bearded dwarf, a fat human man, and a male human child about 14 years old. They seem to be prisoners by the shackles chained to iron rings set into the floor. Encircling the room is a crudely assembled low walled wood and timber gallery, about 5 ft wide, built 8 ft up from the floor. No ladders or stairs are seen to provide access, however. Filling this gallery are 54 jeering and threatening goblins, all armed with blades and javelins, red eyes reflecting in the torch light. 15 ft inside the room begins another crowd of 32 goblins spread amongst and surrounding the prisoners. Then you see upon the gallery in the center of the West Wall is a special seating area with the view of the room. Here sits a larger monster, man-sized amongst the child-sized goblins, a hobgoblin, surely by his large bulbous blue nose, clearly the king of this horde. You also might notice above the opposite double-door is another platform piled with stone blocks on top, evidently another collapsing ceiling trap put up by the goblins.

48.) Ronald will wait until the others have entered the room. Then he will go to the open double doors stand and summon the Domain of the Birds and say, "Old Power of the Birds of the Sky, I beseech thee send forth into this room the great sounds and glowing images of the Terrors of the Birds!"

Donahue, before you can make progress into the room you are swarmed by goblins who stab and cut at you but your shield and armor prevents anything from reaching you. But then at your side rushes one of the soldiers slashing at the goblins with his sword. Gaining your chance, your own sword thrusts begin the chore of hacking a path through the goblins as two fall. Now at your back come the other soldiers to support you as you try to cut your way into the room.
Kermit and Ronald, you wait for all of the soldiers in the doorway to enter.

Donahue, two of the goblins realize their blows against your armor are ineffective so they throw themselves bodily upon you trying to grab you. One latches on to your shield arm and refuses to let go. Please add 43 lbs to your carried weight. Remember if you reach your maximum carry load you won't be able to move around! Another goblin falls to your sword thrust allowing you to move further ahead.
Kermit and Ronald, you continue wait for all of the soldiers in the doorway to enter.
