Daisy has been dickering with Nalissa about some replacement gear, and was working on cleaning some of Nalissa's stock in partial payment.
She arrived about the time Luther went through the portal. God's blessing on him, an' that young 'un who followed him. Ah don't want to charge in after him, but we better find them quickly. Momma's likely to bewitch themand use them against us.

Maag climbs slowly back to his feet. He takes a couple of deep breaths and waits for everything to stop spinning around him. Having learned the hard way, he makes no attempt to enter the portal. "I reckon I 'ave done my bit for Luther. Not much else I can do for 'im now."
"As for der captain, I made a deal wiv 'im . 'e wants more of der black logs. When 'e comes back 'e is going to bring a bunch of stuff to cut dem down an' ship dem out. We just 'ave to find dem. An' cut dem down." Maag jerks his thumb over his shoulder. "Some of der townies can do der second bit. Dey managed it before." He shrugs.
"Unless der is annuver way dat someone 'as got to make der captain a lot of money fast. 'Cos otherwise 'e is not comin' back."

Liam moves to one of the woodsmen in town and inquires about know sources for the black trees, or where to generally find them.
Keg looks over Ma'ag and the other burlier types. Regardless of what we do, we are either preparing to defend, attack, or abandon this place for the mainland. He looks over at the Princess Do I have enough money there to pay for everyone to get shipped off this island?

The Mommas And The Luthers
After Amun goes through the portal, the others just watch as it eventually shrinks down in size until it becomes a red dot in the air before suddenly phasing out of existence with an audible pop. The whereabouts of Luther and Amun now a mystery, the group assumes they might need to be rescued, likely from the camp where Daisy just dealt with the demonic witch the day before.
Magg tells the others that Quark has agreed to return one more time, but only because he promised to have a shipload of black logs he could transport. One of the townies speaks up. "Them old pirate loggers cut down a long swath of em near the last town. That's how they made the loggers trail. I think they's a few more at the end of that trail, but not nearly as many."
After Yrias brings up the anomaly he noticed earlier, Wake looks around with his enhanced vision, certain that the invisible threat he picked up earlier is now gone.
The still invisible Allissa tosses down her stone that mentally connects with the woman they now call Momma, claiming she got it from a long since dead companion. She drops another verbal bomb that she knows at least one other adventurer who ones one as well, though she doesn't spill the proverbial beans on who that might be. She suggests they each talk about their feelings towards Momma, getting more than a few concerned looks from the others.
Liam seems more interested in the dock project and how things are going around the new settlement, but Keg is clearly focused on finding their missing comrades. Daisy too expresses an interest in finding them, hoping they can be found before Momma bewitches them further. The Knife strolls closer, expressing his interest to help save his friends, when Keg asks the question nobody was ready for, suggesting that the Princess simply pay the way for all of the settlers who want to leave when the ship returns.
Actions?
I will pick up the action for Luther and Amun again here shortly.

"Der only way to get everybody in der town 'ome would be if yer found a gold mine. An' if dat 'appened, nobody would want to go 'ome." He smiles grimly.

I cannot and will not say any more about this until everyone is revealed. Remember, I've been talking to her and she named names. Now is the last chance for forgiveness, no questions asked."
She shakes her head and sighs over the confusion. "Ok. We need a recap. Here goes:"
There are eight obelisks on the island, arranged in a circle, with buildings of some sort in the cardinal directions. These obelisks appear to be invisible until activated at the altars located in said buildings. The Temple houses such an altar. There are orbs, about a large fist in size, that activate them. Much bigger than the stones Momma gave out. These orbs and the obelisks they unlock seem to create portals to something called the Dark Ether, and maybe realms beyond. All of this and many other things on the island were created by The Master, who is no longer here. Momma, without saying too much for previous reasons, wants to utilize the obelisks for something and recruited seasoned adventurers to help her find them. She gave gifts and a means to communicate: those stones. Luther broke some sort of promise and she overheard him and meted out punishment. And now everyone needs to prevent Momma from learning what we are talking about by removing those stones from their person. Please.

I hope everyone is clear on the orbs and the stones, plus who Momma is. Or maybe this is all excellent RP and I'm just telling things people know.

She kilt my Sophie, all mah gear is at the bottom of the river, an' Ah damn near drowned gettin' back here. Ah plan to take that outta her hide.

Then at the party forming to go help Luther. I'm game to go after him, let me settle this money talk first and I am ready to go.
We ought to look into these oblisks too. We were already going to split off and go after them. If this Mama woman wants them, how do we know we don't want to just destroy them now before they get used for any kind of magical mischief?

Liam returning from making sure things are back underway with the dock and other safety measures like making sure Ma'ag and Daisy are getting medical care for their wounds.
I agree, if this Mama is wanting to do something with the oblisks, we had best try to get a few steps ahead of her. There was one at or near the temple at the end of the logging trail, was there not? What about the others? I will happily be a part of a group heading out to explore them and hopefully figure out what is happening there. Who's with me?

We shouldn't be discussing plans as long as with have these small spheres with us. I think we should put them all in a sack and lock them in a chest in a hut." He looks at Daisy she Liam, since they are part of the governing council.

The Knife scuffs his feet in the sand and pauses before replying. "Well...yes...and...no...sort of. There was a voice. But it wasn't Momma's. It wasn't a woman's. It..."
He lowers his voice. "You have to all promise to keep this a secret, okay?" He waits a few more moments.
"It was my knife. He can talk. We have secret conversations, but only I can hear him. He's my friend".
"Back home, I liked to look at things. So when I saw something I liked, I'd take it. But the other gnomes didn't like that. They locked me in the Bad Room. They said it was for my own good, but if it was a Bad Room, how could it be good?"
"I got out a couple of times. The first time I used a bit of wire to pick the lock on the door. But they caught me and put me back in the Bad Room. They were mad at me for that Next time I got out I just kept running and running before anyone could catch me".
"Then I fell down a hole. A big one. And I bumped my head. When I woke up I heard a voice saying "Who are you?" I said "I'm me." And the voice said "No, I'm me. Who are you?" And I said, "No, I'm me. You're you." And the voice said, "No, I'm me. You're you. I'm not you." And I said "I'm not you either. "And the voice said "Well if you're not you and I'm not you, then who am I?" And I said "Well if you're not you and I'm not you, maybe you're me?" And the voice said "I'm definitely me". And I said "I'm definitely me too." And the voice said "So we are both me?" And I said "Who's we?"And the voice said "We? Is there someone else here?" And I said "No, just me". And the voice said "Me too".
