Re: Browsing on a mobile device?
I check and post sometimes from my phone however i have to change it to normal view because the post tags for bold and dialog don't work well in the mobile view.

Re: Browsing on a mobile device?
I have found a method that detects if you're on a mobile device and displays the forums in a mobile-friendly theme.
It makes reading them considerably easier as you don't have to zoom in.This is something you'd like to see implemented here.
I will read PMS and thread updates on my phone if I am away from my computer, but I usually wait until I get back home and compose any replies from my computer.I did say that I use this site from a mobile device about 40% of the time.

I was under the impression that this happened automatically, especially with the major forum upgrades that I implemented a year or so ago. It's always worked for me and it is very easy to use the forums on a mobile device now.

Re: Browsing on a mobile device?
I'm almost certain there is a mobile site. I'm struggling at the moment getting the forums to load in mobile-view on my phone currently, but I do know it exits. Or existed.klausfelix wrote: ↑Fri Feb 18, 2022 6:11 pm I have found a method that detects if you're on a mobile device and displays the forums in a mobile-friendly theme.
I'll keep playing and try to figure it out.

Re: Browsing on a mobile device?
I definitely get a mobile version when I am on my phone.
Re: Browsing on a mobile device?
I used to, and it was all/mostly blue in color (it was distinctly different from the normal view), but I'm not seeing that anymore. I think I might have turned mobile view off at one point as I preferred the normal view to the mobile view even on my phone.
Here's what I see (which is fine for me):
Are you seeing something different?

Re: Browsing on a mobile device?
I believe the site automatically detects if you are on a mobile and then uses that version, but you can also set it to just do the non-mobile version on your mobile phone. Which is what I do.
I also believe that klausfelix is a bot or spammer of some sort, but can be proved wrong.(Some of the hallmarks though...

Re: Browsing on a mobile device?
what browser is that? iOS?
There is usually a 'desktop site' kind of click box to switch between the two options, but my experience is android.

Re: Browsing on a mobile device?
It is Safari on an iPhone.
And I know what you're talking about. I'd see a link to switch to the mobile site. I don't see that same link anymore? Or I’m just blind and missing it.

Re: Browsing on a mobile device?
ah, I thought it might be.
I think before the update there was a link, but that went away and it detects automatically. The switch I was talking about is in the browser settings, well for the browsers I use anyway. Safari might be different.
