Re: Barrow Mounds: Relic Raiders.
Dalin decides it is best to leave the defeated fungi-undead alone. "Savant are you feeling alright? Why don't you drink some of your water?" the dwarf offers as some sort of aid. "I wonder what the hell those things were. Part undead skeletons part living fungi?"

Barrow Moor trek to the Mounds
May 15th 1066.
Visibility: poor, mist reduces vision to 60'ft radius. Lanterns held by Eamoon & Sundance.
Conditions: Redruth and Savant, poisoned by the Fungicides.
I was waiting upon a post from Savant having explained a few things in a private memo.
The poisoned duo are parched and glug water and wine in equal measure. Both look ghastly ill, their skin turning a yellowish tint as with jaundice. They are able to continue, though their movements are often halted by bouts of coughing.
what would you like to do?

Re: Barrow Mounds: Relic Raiders.
Dalin sighs "I hate to do it but I don't think it wise to continue on without more people right now." the dwarf says. "We best either find a spot to camp safely if possible or go back to Helix and rest and recover." the dwarf says hoping for some sort of reaction from anyone if nobody does speak up or react he merely turns back towards Helix and heads back helping Savant as best he can.

Barrow Moor trek to the Mounds
May 15th 1066.
Visibility: poor, mist reduces vision to 60'ft radius. Lanterns held by Eamoon & Sundance.
Conditions: Redruth and Savant, poisoned by the Fungicides.
In the absence of any comment from Savant, with two possible poisoned party members, Dalin decides that pressing on the raid the barrows is more risky than returning the few miles to Helix. It is a prudent decision, though the expedition may end no sooner than it started. It can be discouraging to halt a trip, especially after equipping the mule with the resources to build a door in the Potter's Barrow but the withdrawal should not be seen as a defeat.
The return is a slow trek but by early afternoon the group trudge into the village. Redruth and Savant are taken to the care of the village hospice, put in isolated care and watched by nurse maid's who wipe their fevered brows and worsening conditions.
Tamson returns home, Sundance & Eamoon go back to the Mercenary guild.
Dalin, you arrive back in the Brazen Strumpet on May 15th.
You may post in the tavern thread, pay upkeep covering the next four days and join in tavern conversations as another Barrow expedition is forming that you might also be able to join.
You can also post in the Mercenary Guild thread if you wanted to officially inform Osen regarding Redruth's misfortune.
I will close this thread here and award any XP due.
Three Fungicides killed. No treasure found.
I am going to round up the award to +100xp inclusive of all considerations.

Re: Barrow Mounds: Relic Raiders.
Dalin apologizes to the hired hands "Sorry this turned into a flop Tamson and Redruth" in hopes that Redruth is well enough to hear his words. The dwarf will check back in on him and Savant.

Re: Barrow Mounds: Relic Raiders.
It is a common experience, though not so much endured by players yet. The best laid plans falling at first hurdles like my horses.
In truth, continuing with poisoned party members ultimately endangers everyone and the deeper in the Moor you go, the further from known help. The poison being a catalyst for a necrotic shroom disease, few healer's are at hand. The best local solution might have been the druids over in Crooked Yew though that is a day's trek away.
I have informed LordKane77 what conditions affect Savant in his private forum, so he may address those hopefully ...
Add your XP reward to your sheet and continue in the village threads.

Re: Barrow Mounds: Relic Raiders.
Sorry about the absence. I'm in the semester of my master's degree and my internship just landed on me hard, and for some reason I stopped getting notifications of this feed. Weird.

In any case Dalin absolutely made the right move!
