"We need to identify the groups for Deliverance and Saxon as a high priory. It's a distinct possibility that the 7 and 8 pair are either these or Abyss and Nazareth, we need to know which, ASAP. We don't need to take all these units out, the Vipers Nest is not top priority."

Gaughan replies "Sir, we're loaded for bear with two LAW per man. I stocked up as we took the weapon off the G carrier and also just in case we got stuck in the city".

Wishing to keep things as subtle as possible, Frank asks Cpt Domici to prepare a reserve reserve squad using the grav-belts and weapons suitable for both vehicle and troop engagements, just in case. This squad will stand hot, ready to deploy if the current teams need additional support.

All in the HQ

We still have the Aslan troopers..

Voss takes an internal comm call in the HQ and asks Frank levelly "Did you issue any orders to the Aslan, sir?"

In the merchant's hold some troopers are relying on amateur Intel gathering for updates and Camp Freddy is always closely questioned after each of his tea runs from the HQ. Those without hard info tap into the scuttlebutt for answers. Whatever the method a certain frisson runs through the merc unit as troopers up their individual state of preparedness.

The Aslan seem to be particularly sensitive to this and react immediately as Jakob stands his team to.

They open their individual logistics crates and the communal ammo locker and start to gear up.

Jess catches up and gets a visual on (Roll(1d3)+0: 2,+0 Total:2) one of the stolen cabs (a basic four seater saloon). You are still in town in moderate to heavy traffic (six vehicles in the vicinity) heading out of town on a two lane (in your direction) road.

(OOC: That was your first and very successful pursuit roll. I'll hand the reins over to you as to what you want to do with it! Please specify any (well insured) members of the group who are allowed in your new ride / travelling with you as abductees passengers. You can have someone else up front (to operate their window only and change the cassettes under instruction) and up to four others crammed in the back. There is a sunroof facility - because of course there is! ).

"I'm glad to hear that you are well and returning. We have a squad of defrosted juvenile Aslan looking to prove their skills, and the situation is firing them up. I'm off to see them now"

He heads down to the Aslan "Greetings, honoured allies. I thought I should update you on the current situation. Our recon has revealed an opportunity for a series of small surgical strikes to reduce enemy troops numbers. Captain Domici is putting together a small reserve team just in case they need additional support. I appreciate your enthusiasm and preparedness, but your skills are not necessary for such a small skirmish. You will have a vital part to play in our main assault, where you skills will be a valuable asset, but that will not be tonight."

At the moment I believe Sugar and Jess have an ACR each, and Jess has a carbine in the original car and a pistol in her bag. As driver she will pass the ACR to someone else to use.

The team find two additional ACRs (Imperial Navy models but functionally identical to the standard) from the casualties in the square. The first is fine but attempts to clear the second find the working parts seized and a microcalibre hole melted through the receiver. You also salvage a mag of DS and a mag of HE - the recovered rifles' fitted mags carry standard ball/slug ammo (so four in total from this new trawl). There were a few more but they were either suspect or fubar.

Kit

Kit will join the Able / Baker car. He will take off the long jacket as it is restrictive in the vehicle.

(OOC: Moved here as an IC action / about to precipitate an action).

Kit finds that Baker has left him the Guv'nor's seat (front passenger). Able seems confident in his own driving ability and Kit's experience qualifies him better on grav vehicles and not manual ground cars. There is also less snow and ice on Glisten's high tech roads...

Alarmingly (very possibly) both men seem delighted by the opportunity at hand. Obviously both being fans of winter sports they roll down their winter hats - which actually appear to be face covering ski masks. Able floors the accelerator. The ground car streaks after the QSM's vehicle at reckless velocity causing party folk to dive out of the way and shout obscenities in Avastanian. Able crows "It's just like when we was kids!" while Baker cheers "'ave it!" whilst braced in the back seat loading the vehicle's issued ACR (which Kit might want to requisition - once he's got his seatbelt on).

Kit is now quite sure that Able does not hold a valid vehicle operators qualification. However, barging out into traffic, the saloon keeps pace with Jess' much more powerful milspec ground car.

Kit can see one of the "target" vehicles, a hijacked mini cab, just ahead.

Easy reaches over Sugar and takes custody of the ACR. She takes the mag off and strips out four slug rounds declaring "I've snagged some DS and HE top ups. DS'll do the engine block on one of these civvy motors, HE will take out tyres".
