Quick question.... with the comm server, do we have earpieces we are all wearing, or would we need to to use our data pads, etc.
Real question: can I mumble to myself and be heard by the team?

You all have earbuds. I am going to say you have to speak aloud to use them - you don't have sub-vocal throat mics to mumble or subvocalize and be heard.

(Taavi can set up a Telepathic multipoint communication, if he wishes to make that known.)

Before we get too far ahead, confirming that Taavi will attempt to set up a Dionne Warwick Psychic Friends network among the friends in the bar. (If you're old enough to remember that-- congratulations, old dog! :)) I'll do the IC post as soon as I can tomorrow. I guess this is how would work?
-Taavi rolls to establish telepathic contact with each character.
-He expends Effort for each attempt, successful or not. I believe he's used 1 / 5 today. But maybe he has more Effort from the level up to 3.
-He has to be the communications hub. "Hansel, Nora says she sees _______." "Nora, ______ says he's right behind you." "Copy that, Shadrach. Hang on." "Hansel, Shadrach says ____."
Taavi's not liking the situation so far so much. :)

Taavi spends 1 effort per person per scene. There's no roll. He can monitor all their emotional states and speak in any of their known languages AND have two way conversations mentally.

He can also read their surface thoughts but they get a Mental Save. If he uses the connection to Surpress Cognition and control what they think about, he expends another effort AND they get a save.

It definitely can work in switchboard mode. :)

The question is can it also be converted to a "party line" (for really old people) on conference call.

I think I like allowing it if Taavi puts himself out there in the process (he's allowing everyone to read HIS thoughts by doing so).

Sorry, I know we need Taavi's telepathy post, it's kind of important. I'll try to do that this evening.

I got an email about that and checked it out too. Nice package for not so many dollars. It kind of seems that the extra expansion stuff is more about refinements for SWN campaigns (cyberpunk, space naval operations, things like that) than about specific adventures/modules. But who knows, the different products may theme-specific adventures included. Or maybe more likely, tables for ideas for adventures included. But too involved for me, ATM. I'm working along through Worlds Without Number's rules as a basis for a Conan Hyborian Age sword and sorcery game. Looking like a great OSR-like system so far. Good for PBP. Thanks for the point toward a good system, GM Marullus! That's two trusted votes. :)

I will say that some of the expansions are pretty awesome. If you like playing merchant characters, Suns of Gold is fantastic. They are definitely expansions for certain types of campaigns rather than specific adventures, though.

When Hansel did his checks of the room, did he notice anything that indicated a kitchen?

I'm going to want you guys' suggestions for the WWN's and it's sister rules systems for a Conan Hyborian Age campaign. I like SWN's simple rules, but I wish there was more of an index. Ctrl + F works well enough with the PDFs though.

Yeah, you are right there should be more details. I added it to the IC post.

New post is up!

Taavi helped Balygyr and stated a plan to cave in the whole roof. However, presented with the option, Balygyr said he chose to only take out the electric, not collapse the building. So, that's what I went with in this move since Balygyr was the actor.

So... Balygyr and Emile both have Panspectral Optics to see in the dark so this was a good plan to them. However they're both outside. (Faraday and Lira also had this, but they're not in play, so its not as common in the group as it was at the start.) Hansel, Taavi, Shadrach, Nora, and Oliver are inside in the pitch-black but can't see in the dark. Correct me if I have that wrong, please.

This is correct for Hansel. Hansel does have stowed low-light goggles, but this sounds like a "no light" situation.

Oh, and since it just got SUPER relevant, does the laser pistol have a visible spectrum beam or pulse when fired? (please no beam....) Is so, what color.

Does anyone know how to actually harm this guy? He survived a nuke at point blank with hardly an injury the day after. Dropping a roof on him won’t be much of a problem for him.

That's so awesome, I think the answer HAS to be yes.

Lead Bullets, of course, do not leave a light trail.
