Re: A Call from the Mayor / Culty Callings
Roy tries his best to keep his cool and replies back "Alright, there a good way around we are trying to go meet some folks." he gives the address to the person that stopped them at the street race. "Then again this could be great to watch."

To clarify, is that roll for perception or are you trying to work with the speaker at the window?
Come to think of it... Who is driving?

That was perception and Roy was driving per my post in another topic, I think the firehouse homesweet home one.

If you read the info in the spoiler that is what it looks like Brett asked for Hard Cool.

Yes. This was a house rule I made about a year ago I think. Seems to me reasonable since you perceive more with a "cool head" than a panicked one.

Roy & Mac spy a very familiar yellow VW Beetle lining up to the next race...
Mac even notices a glimpse of blonde hair before a helmet slips over the driver's hair.
Roy notices the license plate, Arkansas... RACRGRL.

Roy looks a little confused having a heck of a time trying to recall how that is familiar. "Dunno Mac."

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams
Really? Street racing? That's illegal-we should probably not be seen here. It would be real bad if the police show up and we get caught. I don't think they'll buy our story of 'We're on official Ghostbuster business, on the way to speak with a bunch of witches. We couldn't get through, so we stopped to watch. Why are we not in the Ecto if we're on official business? Well, it's in for repair so we have a rental- not because we didn't want to be recognized at an illegal street race.'
Wait- where who got what skills?

On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Joker makes a sour face. The police would believe whatever they choose, no matter what we say.

Roy agrees with Joker "You're right mate. Maybe we had best just keep on moving and see if we can't find an alternate route."

The Road

Sundown, cool and cloudy and getting dark, raining intermittedy
The big guys attention was drawn to the line of cars revving up as someone holding a pair of glowsticks went to the center line in front of them. They pointed to one car, then the other, and so on down the line... each car at their turn revving their engine loudly. Somehow the yellow bug seemed out of place, but it seemed no less mean than the others.
3... 2... 1...
The glowsticks dropped and the cars lept from the line! The spectators cheered as the cars rocketed off. It was a tight race.
The big guy turned back to you but his attention as divided. You're best off turning around or pulling over before they come back through here... but you can't stay here where you are... they are going to come through here and stopping isn't going to happen quick...
The four cars were neck and neck, the blue honda was in the lead, followed closely by a red nissan and the yellow bug with the red toyota in the rear...
As they just almost made it out of sight a mile an a half down the stretch of road, they all began to break and whip around, facing back the way they came, and appeared to be racing back now!
A radio on the big guy's hip sounded off. Everyone made the pivot! Coming your way! He took the radio and spoke into it. Roger that! I see them coming in hot! Who was in the lead? others were clearly listening to the radio chatter.
Cameron, Gearshift, Goldie, and Fox on arrival, but I think Fox moved into 2nd on the turnaround and Cam is in the back now. Let me know who wins, I have money on this one...
Yeah, we all do... he mumbled more to himself, then turned to the team. Pull over there off the shoulder fast if you know what's good for you, you have only a handful of seconds before four cars come through here at about 180...
That being said, he steps back and takes another position, apparently through offering advice.
You get the rental pulled over in time to see the last of the race as it nears you. It is hard to see since the headlights are facing you now, but you can hear the engines as they whine and get closer in a big hurry.
You are able to see that all four cars are giving it their all, the blue and the red cars have switched positions, and it is the yellow bug in second place, following dangerously close behind the red nissan, in the last minute, it manages to catch a draft and whips around the red car in the last second and is the first to cross the finish line with the other three in quick successions behind it. The motley crowd is cheering as the cars slow and eventually are able to circle back more casually.
As they return there is a lot of money changing hands. As the racers pull up and stop, you see them begin to exit their cars. Someone walks up to the yellow bug just as a feminine silhouette steps out and takes off her helmet. Yup... That is Julia alright. She accepts an impressive wad of cash from who you can assume is the book and smiled as folks crowd around. A few giving her some more as apparent appreciation for their own winnings.

Re: A Call from the Mayor / Culty Callings
Roy moves the car as directed after the guy offers the free advice. "Looks like we don't have much of a choice guys guess we are watching a street race."
yes this is something that Roy would have done right after being told.
