I want to illustrate the difference in movement rates for the various Characters. This chart represents Maximum Movement (As in standard double movement per round). Some characters may allow for more than two movements because of extra actions (Kurot).

Since we are about to be “on the clock” again with Action Rounds, I thought I should remind everyone about the challenge moving as a cohesive group. Realistically, you should be restricted to the slowest member to prevent anyone from falling behind, unless you compensate in some manner.

That's the idea. :) There may be available solutions.

Would Urlando have benefitted on this roll at all from the previous information Sivesrti had gathered?

As far as movement goes, do you allow for running @Norjax? For example normal movement is 50' for Podo, if I double move at normal speed it would be 100', if I am running then it would be 200'.

I might be able to carry Denslow, greyarea

For the record, yes. Silvestri could have formally taught Urlando how to operate the artifact provided Urlando made a successful DC 10 Intelligence check. Since his action was taken hastily and in turn, I rolled with it and allowed one to beat the other with a Luck check "duel". Urlando won and was "lucky" his action went first. Had Silvestri won, he would have interrupted Urlando before the damage could have occurred.

Unless you can point me to an official DCC/MCC ruling, I consider the double (or triple, q.v.) movement as running.
I might be able to carry Denslow, greyarea
This should work.

I think I might be thinking of a completely different game and ruleset. I was just wondering if we could rush to get our butts out of here. As for the rule I don't think it is written anywhere, I glanced to see if I could find anything and couldn't. The only thing is on page 77 under actions:

Each round, a character or monster may move its normal
speed and do one thing for each of its action dice. The actions
a character takes depend on his class.
• All characters can take another movement for their actions.

If your normal speed is walking and you can use your action to move again it sounds like that would be another normal movement because a normal movement is specified above. So that begs the question what is a non-normal movement, is it running? I am fine with however your rule, not trying to argue, not trying to be a rules lawyer or a jerk, just testing our limitations :D

I'd rather keep things simple. :) If normal movement in a 10 second round is say 30 feet and you make another 30ft movement in the same amount of time, you've effectively doubled (or tripled) your movement rate. I consider that running.

In games terms, this is about to happen:

At a 40 ft rate, it will take 3 rounds to make it to the Light Curtain. It will take another round for Saiph to attempt a Molecular Disruption on the curtain (a one-way force field).

Saiph will need a minimum roll of 24 to disrupt the curtain.

It will take another 4 rounds to reach the room with the outer wall and attempt another Molecular Disruption. He will need another roll of at least 14 to breach the outer wall unless you can figure out a way to open the wall. This roll of 14 will open a hole large enough for everyone, save Podo, to exit. A roll of 20 or higher will create a hole large enough for Podo to escape.

With the smaller hole only, Podo can use brute force and break through to the outside in 3 rounds.

You will be vulnerable to attacks the whole time. Something is one the way and I will track the rounds until its/their approach. If anyone stops to engage opponents, their individual movement will be halved due to the combat action.

Good Luck!

The faster characters could move at half rate while engaging opponents and more or less keep close to Saiph, correct? I'm thinking Urlando could move at half rate (30') and do that.

Yes they can. Technically its their normal rate with a combat action.

So, those with a 30ft normal move or above could take a combat action and eventually catch up with a double movement.

Can Urlando attack from his prone position, or is he spending the round trying to stand up?
