Creature morale [1d100]=98
The creatures break off attacking and flee into the distance. After they depart, professor J'Lan approaches the group, takes a look at the creature and rubs his chin. "Well, would you believe that this is the first time anyone has seen this creature? I do believe that if any of you is an environmental specialist, you have the option of naming this creature."

Ask the professor why he's here and not safe in a locked vehicle as instructed?
" you hired us for security, it won't work if you ignore our instructions, what if these creatures had managed to disable us and turned on you."
Now anyone injured and in need of first aid?

Rick replies, "I can be using some medical attention for my cuts."
He does not show much interest in the dead bug and lets the brainy types figure them out. However, once he is patched up, he will keep a careful eye out for them and other strange creatures.
"We should also be talking to the lead scientist and see what they be planning for scientific excursions. We be wanting to make sure both the main group and any groups searching around are protected. Although, we don't really be having enough of us to cover both." Rick frowns.

Daz replies, "Really? Huh. None of us are environmental specialists so we'll leave the naming of these creatures to someone else. Did the creatures assault the other scientists or vehicles?"Harpoonrgm84a wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 6:10 pm The creatures break off attacking and flee into the distance. Re: Adventure 2.0
Rick and Daz get 10 points of health back. The creatures did not attack any of the scientists or vehicles. Professor J'Lan says that if you could help set up camp, they can begin their work in about 12 hours.
Re: Adventure 2.0
Daz thanks T'prin for the bandaging. After making sure that some of us stay on watch, she'll assist the scientists in setting up camp.
Re: Adventure 2.0
T'prin says he is thinking about following the crab creatures tracks to make sure they are truly gone
Re: Adventure 2.0

He will join T'prin in tracking the bugs.

Re: Adventure 2.0
Okay, you track the creatures for more than 45 meters to a crumbled structure. The building has a significant hole in it and the tracks lead right to the entrance.
Re: Adventure 2.0
At this point were 90ish meters from the camp so I think we should be ok returning to camp, set watches and get busy doing the science stuff.
Re: Adventure 2.0
Rick agrees and returns to the camp with T'prin. But he will keep a wary eye on that building as he guards.
Re: Adventure 2.0
The first thing T'prin wants to do once he and Rick gets back to camp is move the creature we dropped closer to camp, time to perform an autopsie to see what were dealing with.

Re: Adventure 2.0
Okay, your dissection of the creature reveals that it has 3 mouths, 6 eyes, a hard armored shell and two claws for manipulation and rending meals apart. The total time to learn all you can is about 4 hours. Meanwhile, the scientists get the camp set up and all the equipment setup. They soon are working in earnest on their excavations, analysis, and structural checks of the area. This proceeds for several days. No further signs of those creatures happens in that time period.
On the fourth day, the scientists start running out of power cell energy and decide to fire up the nuclear reactor to begin recharging the power cells. The reactor begins running and charging the power cells. Everyone make perception rolls for me, please.

Re: Adventure 2.0
PER is Persuasion. Perception is rolled using Intuition which, for DAZ, is 65.
