No Net November just broke my heart.
Clearly good for you if you need it but, yes, my heart is broken.

Re: OOC & Stuff
No need for broken hearts. I am not halting the game, just merely slowing down really slowly like slowComputer +1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 12:33 pm No Net November just broke my heart.

I will log in and post from work on occasion when I can.
This game ain't even close to being done. We still have so much to do!!
Winter is coming...

I don't think I could do it.hedgeknight wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 2:08 am I am going to observe "No Net November" and pretty much stay unplugged and off internet when not at work. I'm doing this for me and my sanity and...damn it...just to see if I can do it!
Internet browsing, maybe? (But still very unlikely.) But we stream almost everything. TV. Music.
There's no way I could unplug.
Good luck, man! More power to you.

Re: OOC & Stuff
Happy Sunday fellers!
I hope the weather is nice where you are > it's almost chilly at the beach!
Fall is my favorite season and I haven't witnessed one in about 23 years > here we go from summer to basically winter in a blink. Fall is a few days in between (sigh).
Tonight, while watching football, I will be updating the threads.

Howdy fellers > I'll be updating all threads tonight...whilst sipping on some whiskey
Which could be bad (or good) depending on how much I've had when I get to your character's thread

Not at all. I feel the same.Computer +1 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 6:35 pm It is strange that I feel bad that Yarl has lead so many of his gang to their deaths?
Hedge has set up an immersive scenario that was easy to get invested into.
In all my years of playing D&D (~40), I have never had a PC form a bond with an NPC the way Oak has with Cookie (which, I'm not even sure was an intended relationship, but just something that happened).
This may be a weird stance, but I fully support PC death (especially in 5e), so I am fully prepared to move on from Oak if he doesn't survive (as a player, I'm actually still more concerned about Cookie than I am Oak!

Re: OOC & Stuff
Did Yarl lead the Rats to their deaths? Or was it a set up?
Will Oak survive? Or will Dave need to roll up a new character?
Is Cookie gonna make it? You know she'd love to have another biscuit from the Smilin' Boar.
And what about the lizard, the cat, and the old man of the sea? Will they kill each other in the street or will they go for a bath in the morning?
Then, there's little Callie > will she ever get justice for her family? Or will she die beyond the wall tonight?
And what about the coming rumble? How will that shake out? What will become of the good folk and the bad folk caught in the middle of a turf war? Will the Flaming Fist ever return to what it once was?
Will Lupeen find her lover? Alive?
Will the Dead Three summon one of their "dead" gods?
What is Duke Vanthampur up to?
What about the strange lights coming from Mandorcai's Mansion?
And let's not forget the dead bodies piling up allies, the rumors of disappearing children, something growing in the sewers, the drama of the patriars, the pimps, hookers, drug dealers, murderers, crooked guards, devious patriars, the growing evil in the city...so much going on.
I hope you are still having fun.
Like Dave said, PC death can happen...and likely will. I've told my players in the past, at the end of the day your character, regardless of how much time you have invested, is just a file on a screen. If they die, you delete the file and make a new one.
I'm already making plans for November...the game will not stop. It may slow down, but I'm already working on some ways to post while at work
It may not be deep immersive posts, but the game will not stop.
Now...I need to work on something for little Callie
