(004) Raid on Goblintown

Des will swing carefully and behead O6. They were actively fighting and he's not going to leave a live enemy behind him.

Eodrien follows suit against O5.

Darian will move W2 and go over the side of the North wall and hang on the wall with one hand and 2 feet Over where Eodian is on map and ready and take a pebble from his pouch and use a 2 fingered 'Powered Pebble at the back of the big orc.

"Kazan, come" Kazan will move W1-N4 and look up at Darian not quite sure what to do.

Valerin takes advantage of Magdal's hit and shoots his bow again right in that ugly orc's face... [1d20+3]=14+3=17...the arrow pierces the Orc's armor (3), making the Orc Leader snarl at Valerin!

Eodrien follows suit against O5. Eodrien's blow isn't quite as effective as Des', but she manages to sever the monster's head from it's body.

Cursing that she nearly missed all the fun and then begging her mother's forgiveness under her breath for the foul language, Magdal moves forward one step. Taking aim she fires an arrow at the Orc Leader. Unfortunately, the Orc jerks back from Valerin's shot and Magdal's flies past his face and into the building behind him.

The Orc Leader hacks at Valerin with his longsword[15] carving a gash through Valerin's leathers and cutting deep[7] across his chest. With a cruel grin the Orc pulls his sword back to strike at Valerin again!

OOC: I took a bit of liberty with Valerin's move. He can't move directly east as that space is occupied by the Orc Leader, so I moved him around and behind the Orc to the east.
Valerin, grimacing from the pain, moves around and out of the Orc's range then fires again [1d20]=13+3 =16, his arrow hits [4] seriously hurting the big Orc.

Seeing Valerin struck by the Orc Leader and as he is poised to strike, Magdal hopes to distract the creature in two ways, first she screams as loud as she can, "Eodrien cut him down!" her eyes look beyond the orc. The Orc turns as Valierin moves past him, keep his eyes on Valerin as he moves around him and presents his back to Magdal!

Then Magdal quickly looks back and fires another arrow[16] at him. The arrow strikes the back of the Orc's neck [5] and Valerin sees Magdal's arrow head poking out the front of the big Orc's neck. Even as he dies he makes a final swing of this blade at Valerin (9), but his long sword flies out of his hand missing Valerin as it clatters to the ground followed by the Orc dead in the middle of the street!

"Guard" Darian says to Kazan, now that he is protected from from below. He turns back and he fires his Power Pebble again with 2 fingers, he understands than when he fires it, it is active for a while. The pebble of power flies directly to the Orc[17], just adding insult to the Orc's (5) death.

Des advances E1 and carefully beheads O10. Eodrien moves with the big warrior, stepping around the sleeping Goblin, and beheads the next orc (O11). Each succeeds and there are two Orc heads bouncing down the street as blood gushes from their severed necks into the dusty dirt street!

Looking around you see no more Orcs standing! You hear the sounds of shouts and then the sound of galloping horses coming from the south!

From Darian's position hanging off the roof he can see a mob of Orcs mounted on horses beginning to gallop away from the town! He can see the fleeing Orcs have a number of pack horses piled with sacks and bags...probably loot they stole from the Goblins. There is no way you'll catch these Orcs on foot and Darian counts to 10 Orcs from what he can see and he thinks there are at least that many riding away that he couldn't get a count on.

A score of Orcs, even if you did catch up with them, that's too many for your party of 5 to take down!

Everyone also sees Frank lying in the street! It looks like he is beginning to bleed out!

Valerin groans and falls to his knees, trying to bind his robes tightly over the gash from the orc's blade.

Darian passes along the information to the crew and saves it for the city person in charge that might want to know and looks for a higher position to look for any more trouble.

Seeing Frank in such sad shape, Magdal hurries to his side watching a moment to see if Des can staunch the bleeding. "Might let me have a gander," she says pulling out her bandages and a sewing needle. Once Des has done his best, she will followup unless Callista arrives.

Des tries to stabilize Frank, but isn't helping him much then Calista arrives and casts a healing spell on the downed man. Frank's wounds begin to close and his breathing becomes easier. In just a minute he wakes and looks around.

"Did we win?" he asks looking around.

OOC: With no Orcs around to attack things begin calming down. Anyone who goes north can see the direction the Orcs rode off, but there's no chance of catching them. Is anyone collecting Orc ears?
