"On my way, Sir." Prerna turns around and leads her teammate toward the coordinates she's given.

Prerna has only an area of roughly a city block to head towards (an intersection dominated by four mid rise blocks) she has covered about twenty metres when she receives a tight beam call on her personal comm. A male caller with a neutral accent calmly enquires "Ma'am, is there a change to your schedule this evening?"

"I have orders to check a sensor contact <insert specific location> to determine if it's hostile."

The male replies in the same neutral tone "Ma'am we are currently able to prosecute that threat on your behalf. We will also advise you of any change to our current threat assessment. My compliments to your EW techs and please feel free to go on ahead and enjoy your evening".

(OOC: This might be as much of an "admission" as is likely as to ownership of the sensor return. ).

The path to the Zoo front doors is through the parked glossy ground vehicles and their attendants. These all have the look of men all too familiar with violence. They cast cold appraising eyes over the "party girls" making their way towards the club.

The smart door staff arrayed neatly on the club's front steps are just as cold and intimidating contrasting entirely with the already rather "buoyant" clientele. Two, stood well back from the main foot traffic, are armed with slung machine pistols. A mid sized grav powered drone hovers near the entrance apparently surveilling the entrance and relaying music from within. Those passing muster on the steps are free to pay at "contactless" points or interact with human staff for checking in coats. It appears that physical searches are both random and of varying intensity and occur after customers have paid to get in.

"Copy that, thank you." Prerna changes to the command channel. "The contact isn't a threat, Colonel. I'm returning to the Zoo."

He turns to Freya and her team "The major reports that the contacts aren't a threat." he smiles "Good work, though"

All (Away Team)

Avastan night life flows about the away team as they progress across the square. Bizarrely a guy in company with three others in a beat up civvy car eyes up the bouncers outside Club Zoo using an archaic monocular. Meanwhile Baker gets elbowed again for gawking at three pneumatically enhanced ladies who are apparently pondering an offer of a “ride” from someone's security team.

With Prerna in the lead the team get to the front door of Club Zoo as a number of loosely associated but mutually supporting sub groups/couples. The amount of hassle from security seems to be based on a strangely opaque Avastan hierarchy. Liv and Polly, who make a strikingly contrasting sable and blonde pair have the door held open for them by security. They sweep majestically inside disdainfully eyeing the bouncers who respond with due deference. One younger doorman makes no attempt to search anyone but simply gropes every female within reach.

The club's music blares out of the doors. In contrast to Vargr “pound” music gravelly vocals sound out supported by an enthusiastic brass section. A young bravo in a brown leather jacket smoking a particularly cheap brand of Avastan cigarette slaps a fistful of high denomination Imperial credits taken from a duffel bag into the head doorman's hand. He then proceeds inside accompanied by a coterie of temporarily attentive and very attractive young women. A spacer in a black high tech vacc suit decorated with an artsy forked lightning bolt remonstrates with a doorman over whether he can bring his case of beer in but gives it up as lost cause and plunges into the club interior in pursuit of a pair of local girls. Meanwhile one stone faced security guy seems to note Sugar on approach and, following a conversation with his mate, moves to intercept her once she has paid her way in.

"Keep cool, everyone," Prerna says quietly over her comm as the doorman pats her butt on the way in. They had work to do, and the rest could wait for another day. She looked around the club, keeping close to her date as they walked along.

[The Bindoner]

Jess doesn’t fancy “coupling up”, or trying pass for a party-girl, so she sticks with Sugar and “Gel”. Keep an eye on the new hires by posing as part of Sugar’s entourage. Their “close protection” perhaps.

Jess details Baker to stay with the vehicles and keep watch. ‘Ere, take me carbine. Folds up small, so y’c’n keep it hid.

Looking around: Don’t let these mugs get a rise out’v yer, just keep yer cool and watch fer trouble. Might lose comms inside, so if yer see a problem comin’ an' can't raise us, get in there and tell us. ‘Ere’s a fifty, use it to buy yer way in if security’s arsey.

An’ give it back if they aren’t.

Prerna buys a ginger ale and circulates around the club, looking to see where their quarry might be.

Jess contents herself with a hard stare at the handsy security guard and follows Sugar inside. She orders bottled beer, and advises the others to either drink bottles they can open or drinks from optics on general use. Bottles are easier to cover with a thumb though - harder to spike.

Kit aka "Gel"

Gel purchases a club soda with a lemon twist and keeps Sugar within a long arms reach and suggest to Sugar that they head for the spacer in a black high tech vacc suit decorated with an artsy forked lightning bolt for information.

Prerna leads the sub teams into the wide drinking hall that is called наука (science). Pole dancing exhibitions to both sides draw punters east and west and to the busy bars and dance floors within this space. The security guard following Sugar politely detains her and after a brief discussion produces his comm. Sugar pastes on a cheery smile and automatically goes through a series of poses culminating in pulling some unintelligible hand signs and then going cross-eyed in apparent simulation of a (fortunately transitory) medical episode with her arm draped around the guard's shoulder. The guard then locates Kit and hands over one hundred Imperial whilst calling him something that his comm (probably fortunately) couldn't translate. This interrupts Kit's follow on the cove in the flash vacc suit who unceremoniously ignores the advances of a couple of “sorts” as he moves through the press. Kit looses visual just short of another security point leading to an apparently more exclusive bar area called искусство (art).

As soon as the transaction starts related to Sugar his focus will on that. Lighting Vacc will have to wait. Kit will pocket the 100 Imperial as long as Sugar seems like she wants the transaction to move forward, but is still saying with Sugar.

Sugar seems utterly untroubled by the transaction. Momentarily she seems touched that Kit turned back but then simply states "Hey, sixty of that's mine!"

The Swordworlder casually scans the crowd, picking the players out from the posers.

There are no "odd fish" in this pond albeit there are budget posers and flibbertigibbets galore. The clientele are universally young (from "Let's see some ID" to early 20's) - your crew, the club security and the spacer stand out by age. The vivacious and excitable punters drink and dance like folk who recover from hangovers within hours...

A few attempt entry into the next bar but it seems the bar for this bar is set quite high! Only a few are given entry. Of these some buy upgrades while others exclusively female pass selection by the bouncers.
