Needle pauses for a second before replying, I'm sorry to hear that. I imagine I had some kind of equipment but I'm having a hard time remembering anything from right before my capture. Needle waves to include the other recently freed creatures If we ALL came from that room it might be wise to take a few minutes to see if anything of ours is left inside. I'm good with most weapons if anyone has one to spare for the moment.

Podo

"Goodness, you were captured? By whom? The last thing I recall was leaving my cluster to begin my H'vakton ( a word possibly in his native tongue) and then I fell into some kind of trance. My vision blurred and everything was racing in front of my eyes and after that I woke up in the darkness from whence I just came. Examining the ground around him for usable tools and taking in the carnage, Podo squeezes the small stone in his massively thick hand knowing it will not be sufficient if he needs to protect himself. "Motters, herdivocs, masked minders, sentivocs... forgive me but all these words are unfamiliar to me, are we in danger? Perhaps if one of you has a light source we can search the hole like Needle suggests?

Silvestri

"I have torches and a lantern. It makes sense to search the building, to find your belongings and also to learn what we can of Motter and it's minions. Such knowledge will be crucial in protecting ourselves from it."

Podo

"Yes, I agree with Silvestri. The larger the void of knowledge, the greater the risk of being absorbed by it's darkness.

Saiph the short humanoid looks around and clears his throat:

"I'm more of a thinker than a fighter, but I'm quite handy with a pair of daggers, if they are spare"

He waves his two pairs of hands around in jabbing motions, not completely convincingly.

Needle

If you take the dagger, I will take the sword. I think a longer introduction would be good when we know we're safe but now let's get in there and look around quickly before something or someone discovers us.

Silvrestri hands out the weaponry to Needle and Saiph

"These goggles help me see in the dark, but they have limited power. I can use them to check the room beyond the hole before we enter, and then we can change over to torches and lanterns"

Make it so.

"We do not like the darkness but we will assist you. The masked ones took our belongings, we hope they are still intact."

Anton follows his rescuers back into the structure when they are ready.

The Gam'A Zone; 345-346D/81 (Evening)

Silvestri uses the ancient goggles to view the interior of the chamber. He sees a smooth, featureless stone room, save rubble from the blasted opening and a thin 15ft. circular seam in the center of the floor.

Podo

While Silvestri surveys the interior of the room, Podo scans the outer area where the group stands. He carefully tries to take note of any other entrances or exits and also keeps an eye on if there is any movement coming from the piles of destroyed detritus or anywhere else. He also observes the sky above to take note of the layout of the stars and the fullness of any celestial bodies (if there are any).

Is there a roof or are we outside?

Podo surveys the immediate environment looking for points of ingress to the titanic structure. None are apparent.

He glances about at the smoldering remains of the Herivocs, watching for any changes or movement from them.

As he looks up the tower, the fungal youth takes in the majesty of the celestial points of light littering the night sky.

Silvestri

The psion hands out the light sources

"The room looks clear of danger. There's a circle in the floor, maybe there's a hidden opening to some stairs. Let's take a look"

He heads over to the circle to take a closer look for some kind of opening mechanism.

Saiph

Saiph takes a torch. Assuming the others go with Silvestri, Saiph will keep with the group and use his keen observational skills to try and spot any mechanisms.

"Re-Entry!" Anton chuckles to himself. "irony is not unknown to us"

Taking a torch he follows the group back into the structure.

"Strange that the circle should be in the floor, most of this structure goes upwards"

Needle, USH

With sword in hand, Needle follows Silvestri into the room. He knows he's at a disadvantage in the low light and tries to keep his hearing and vision as focused as possible on any movement in the room that is not from the group.

Podo

Feeling somewhat relived nothing in the area seems to be an immediate threat, Podo positions himself at the edge of the opening in the wall but not inside the room. Keeping aware of the outer surroundings to prevent anything from advancing on the rear of the group as they investigate the room, he has a brief thought.

"A circular pattern etched into the floor? I wonder if that could lead back down to my cluster, perhaps that is the entrance I arrived from when I exited the depths of the earth." (wasn't sure if we had a color for internal thoughts)

Denslow says, Is there a lip to the circle? Can we perhaps pry it open, like cracking a seed pod?

He will inspect the curious circle closely.

The Gam'A Zone; 345-346D/81 (Evening)

Silvestri and Denslow enter and approach the circle in the middle of the floor. The circular seam outlines a section of the floor perfectly flush with the rest, except in an area where large chunks of debris were blasted from the wall and impacted against the edge. Here, there are chips in both the floor and the circular portion extensive enough to allow a proper pry bar to lift the edge; depending on the weight of the disc section.

Saiph enters the room to scan and search for mechanisms. (Die Roll) You have confirmed the lack of features, protrusions and recesses in this chamber. A slight vibration can be felt on the curved east wall.

Needle takes up a position to observe the entire room, watching for movement while the others search.

Podo remains outside at the edge of the blasted opening. He monitors the surroundings for any threats.

Anton enters with the others and contemplates his mission relative to his new companions.

Max asks about a gate that no one else remembers. The wall with the blasted hole did magically open and the close when the prisoners were taken inside. Perhaps he’s having residual effects from his neural trauma.
