Stuff happens.
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
Leitz, I think you can post two actions for Steban, if I interpret DM correctly.
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
Wasn't sure, since he has to move into closer range. Posted a second attack, just in case. However, neither one hits unless they are AC 12 or so...
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
Please note that Steban would not have slain the sleeping lizardmen until he has himself viewed the scalps. While Steban's attacks weren't effective, they would have been directed at any awake lizard man, giving said foe the chance to attack. Or flee, likely faster than Steban.
If the scalps are human then Steban has no hesitation about killing the lizardmen no matter their state. However, if the scalps are not human-ish (human, elf, dwarf, etc) then Steban will suggest capturing the sleeping lizardmen.

Ok. The surprise round with range attacks did all the damage. Your melee attacks ineffective but two of the three sleepers may be killed. Steban or Bro Fabian anyway set of a line of jingly-jangly pots and mess tins (actually put in place by the squires and Sven days earlier) so your rush in would not have been unnoticed.
Then on a straight initiative the surviving lizardman won and turned to flee but caught hit by Orgoth's javelin.
The scalps are human or Demi human types.

Then Steban has no issue killing the sleepers.
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
Must be that drop & roll taught in lizard kindergarten. If Steban can tell the scalps are human or demi-human, then he will (do his best to) kill it.
Attack, Damage [1d20+4]=2+4=6, [1d8+1]=8+1=9
Wow, the die roller must hate me...

OGRE MAGE, do you roll your "retain spell" rolls in your private forum or "out loud"?

I normally link the roll into my public post, but I failed it this time.
Does Gerdal have the Sleep spell?

Does Gerdal have the Sleep spell?
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
She does not, only one nuke in the party it seems

Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
I do prefer a linked roll or at least a reference in the script like "the spell cast, it is erased from memory" but I see that if you post in private forum no one but me knows if you pass or fail. There is no advantage either way. You can either cast it again or not.

You should add the xp to the sheet yourself. I have a record of stuff, but the character sheet management is your responsibility.
In this instance the xp was to the first poster but if you read the end of the first Squires expedition, now moved to the Completed Expeditions topic, you can see I am quite liberal with xp and with in game opportunity like the Festivals or Tributes to gain extra xp or stuff.

So, just to get the routine, no xp for defeating the lizard men then? I mean I don't mind, just want to get the hang of it (it = xp tracking i practice).
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
Also: is there some record of Amos and Brother Fabian, like a description or an image? I suspect they're npc, or rather retainers, but I could not find them in the NPC forum topic.

That info can be found starting right here: viewtopic.php?p=557221#p557221
If your character is supposed to be from this area, you might want to read the info in this thread as well: viewtopic.php?f=1111&t=11108
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
I think the 50xp was a bonus sort of thing and the xp for the lizardmen will come at the end.
