I have been in buildings targeted by bombs an a number of occasions, and on at least one, the police hadn't even arrived when the announcement of a roads and rail closure due to the bomb was on the news! Too many people are involved for it to be any type of secret. Air Traffic, Road Traffic, Discoverer, Discoverer's assistant, are all aware. A news photographer friend once remarked that they got calls to some stuff and had to prompt the people ringing them to report an incident to the police. They'd ring the news service first!Bluetongue wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 12:32 am You narrated this news article
My thoughts are we are literally still at this point in the timeline and 'breaking news' doesn't give us any opportunity to quell the news or put another angle on it or even cover it up.Bomb Discovered at Spaceport
Police were called to the North Pole Spaceport today following the discovery of a bomb. Early speculation that this was Ordnance left over from the Battle of Sparks has been denied by informed sources and those sources are describing this as a targeted attack on the Queen of the Belt. This ship had recently been the centre of attention of the Starflight Inc enquiry and police are now trying to confirm that these incidents are linked.
Who are the 'informed sources'? Surely not one of the crew and I would have hoped local police and demolitions experts don't instantly blab to the press before any investigation is launched.
From the point the police were involved, you aren't going to get near the device (more than their jobs worth - and anyway, their team is in Vacuum and yours is inside). You might be able to wangle sight of the reports later somehow (Advocate, Admin, Streetwise, Diplomacy, Carouse, Persuade...pick a strategy...but that will take time).
