BackworldTraveller wrote: Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:49 pm I'd be interested to see if the cameras caught the cops that did the beating coming or going. Were they real cops? Generally, they're too Wiley to beat someone up without backup. And these guys didn't look like they had backup. Can you get into the camera system - or do we need to tweak them to allow that do you think?
Remember the three cops who roughed up the gangbangers last night?
OK - So we are looking for cops who are running double shifts! Or fake cops who like beating people up.

My point was more, don't assume that the cops are brutal only when there's backup on the way. If anything, rough cops might behave better when there's a chance that gentler, more rules-oriented colleagues are headed to the scene.

How long is Louis going to have to wait for his bot results? I can see it being quite fast, or taking up to hours.

The real answer is - until I come up with something I like.

Being motivated by your question, I'll come around to that by the end of day today.

To be clear - by 'real boy' you mean what, human/humanoid?

Yes, human.

How's everyone feeling about pace, plot, scenery, etc?

Here's what I've been listening to lately when I open up this game: https://music.amazon.com/user-playlists ... 1d2e-67800.

I have this vague sense of not knowing enough of the world, due to my lack of experience with Shadowrun, corporate culture, activism and inner city living.

OK - So I've never done Shadowrun, but even with working for a big financial institution, being a local politician and having lived in an inner city (including a riot) this is confusing and somewhat out of my experience. But then again, that seems to be the perpetual state of my characters (and me) in most games! :D

Let's talk about verisimilitude. What are the rough edges here?

verisimilitude is an imperfect but adequate representation of a truth. You know it's not exactly true, but it's good enough to move things along. It seems from your comments like you feel that's lacking here. Why?

I'm not sure how to answer without sounding unappreciative: which I'm not! Or like I'm writing an Essay (which wouldn't be good either). Please keep going...I'll get it eventually.

To be completely honest, now that you've teased me with your concerns I really want to see the essay.

We're a bunch of SJWs investigating a racially-charged false-flag serial-killer, while our political candidate was attacked by government corporate security, broadcast live. Either of those things are beyond my character's capabilities, I would think.

I like the structure of the game. The tone and pacing are unusual to me for reasons I don't quite know how to put my finger on. But that's a good thing. The hardest thing for me is just remembering to check US.

Hey - what sort of range of effects can I realistically hope for with a Local Weather spell? How about a Soothe spell? What range would I need to be in to cast it on a mob?
