Shocked at seeing the cat's attack on the statue, Lionel pauses briefly before assessing the rest of the room. Good kitty, Garfield! From his back, he fires his proton beam at the statue attacking Mac.

You've got that eerie feeling.September 10, 2018, 1:20 pm
Unnaturally Cold Inside - Windy outside - Rolling thunder
Roy moves over to aid Jason and just misses hitting S2 who flits in a tight barrel roll and gets out of the way while managing to feign where she is really going.
Mac sees S5 is about to do something and fires quickly. This effectively blinds him of the mist coming his way from the statue but he hits just as he is enveloped in what seems like a lavender cloud of pollen that is ultra-thick. It irritates his nose, mouth, and eyes... and that is the last thing he remembers as he slips into darkness. S5 takes a solid blast and though she seems to linger a moment, the statue crumbles to the ground and the same pink vapor as from the other statues rises up through the ceiling to disappear.
Lionel That was a lot of rolls! I see 39 points to soak so you take only superficial damage in both cases. I need to start making stronger ghost
And your moves roll was good, so here are the results Lionel gets beat up pretty badly in the last couple minutes, but somehow his physicality saves him as he is able to react quickly, and despite getting some major scratches and bruises, is otherwise not really given any long lasting hurt, especially with the cat now dubbed Garfield coming to the surprise rescue and taking down the gnome that was trying to make mincmeat of his face.
Lionel waste no time in aiming for the statue that was attacking Mac, and from his unobstructed view, he can see that between the two of them, they take it out and it crumbles to the ground just after Mac is seemingly knocked unconscious.
As Mac falls over, his proton stream is still switched on. His aim goes wild his beam arches upward towards... Roy's beam.

Cross the Streams [1d6]=4
From the resulting recoil of energy in all directions, there is a surge of energy that explodes in the room. All four of the guys in the room get his with the shockwave and feel the jolt. -5 bp
On the other hand, the room goes quiet for a minute other than the small tinkling of broken glass as the rest of the window slowly crinkles apart and falls to the floor.
Jason takes aim with Roy at S2 and manages to anticipate where it is actually going to go and NAILS IT! Then the chaos with the streams happens.
Jason Moves + Fire Weapon v10 [7d6]=20 g: [1d6]=1 Yikes! Sorry Jason! I always feel bad when I roll for a player and it comes up like that.
As S2 screams and crumbles, leaving the vapor to disappear upwards like its comrade had, The streams from Roy and Mac's blast cross and creat an energy recoil that fills the room. Directly after that, since Mac is still unconscious and his beam wondering about unchecked, there is a second crossing of the streams right after that!
Cross the Streams [1d6]=2
Luckily... there are no consequences to this happening other than the next jolt through the contact shutting off Mac's stream with the Emergency Safeguard when it detects the surge.
The dice have been cruel this round but it could have been a lot worse! For now all the statues are dealt with and the wind is blowing in through the destroyed window. Joker would have heard the blast inside and I will go so far as to say he knew what that sound meant had happened... twice in quick succession. So Joker can react accordingly in the next round.
Speaking of next round... We are technically out of combat but I am going to treat it as such next round, meaning you will only lose half a round's time to get yourselves set and moving. Based on what you do going forward will determine whether we stay in combat-style half rounds or return to full rounds. Keep in mind you are at round 3 of 6 for Joker's device that is keeping things together. Soon components are going to start becoming damaged and the field could fail.

Roy sits up but otherwise decides to remain seated for the moment on the floor holding his head with one hand and trying to stop everything from spinning. "Well...it looks like we won? What now? How do we break through the barrier outside?" he says out loud to all in the room still sounding a bit dazed from the twice crossed streams that just happened.

Joker
Joker pushes himself to his feet. He hears the explosions, sees the glass breaking, and knows that potential disaster has struck. iyi, kahretsin... he says. He doesn't hear screaming from inside, so he continues.
Non- newtonian... try something different... He steps between two of the witches and presses his hands against the barrier, applying steady pressure, rather than an impact. If he makes progress, he'll continue, working toward reaching Ecto-1.

Unnaturally Cold Inside - Windy outside - Rolling thunder
Roy takes a moment to collect himself and speculate both their success and their next move.
Lionel picks himself up realizing he has looked a lot better but, then again, likely has looked a lot worse too in spite of everything. That is when he notices Mac looks out for the count laying on the floor nearby. Apparently taking a beating from either the jolts or whatever that statue ghost did to him, but likely both.
Jason tries to take stock of what has just happened to Mac. He can see that his vitals are low but strong. There are certainly proton surge burns on him, but they seem superficial for the most part. Other than that, Jason cannot tell much about what is happening with Mac, other than he appears in bad shape. His Pulse is there, but hard to detect. He breaths steadily but slowly as well, with a little wheeze. He is also covered in what looks like a pinkish colored pollen. Whatever is going on it is clear to see the strain on Mac's face. The big guy is going through a lot of pain whatever is happening, despite him being unconscious.
Finally: Jason knows there is still a presence in the room, and it feels close.
Everyone will still have readings updating on their phones as well as on the analog equipment.
There is still plenty going on here in this thread to react to so feel free to continue even though I have Mac in his own mini-thread at the moment. I have a few different clocks going, only one of which you can see at the top of these posts. So keep that in mind. Hope everyone is doing well

Joker tries a theory and presses more slowly through the barrier between the witches. He first presses his hand through. It felt.... warm... staticy... it was like pushing through a tough jelly.... but progress was made. Soon he was arm deep in it. It did feel fluid. As he pressed in a little more he felt his fingertips break through the other side. That was about the time that he stepped in and the first third of his side was inside the barrier. The witches though were holding hands and when he tried to press through them their heads were like a steel chain he could not pass. For the first time the witches seemed to shift focus, but only the two that he was trying to get past. Those eyes turned from the house to him and seemed in that moment to be filled with strain as they kept up the chanting with the others. Both of them visibly tightened their grip on each other's hands.Joker's Field Device Timer: 3.5/6

Joker steps back, somewhat calmer than he was. He takes a deep breath, and speaks to the witches.
We are doing the same job. I have a machine that will help keep the evil contained- but I need to get my vehicle to keep it working.
Please let me through.
His irritation and desperation are clear in his voice.

Jason examines Mac enough to know there's little he can do for his current condition, medically he may not be great but his problems seem like they wont be solved with a first aid kit. A taste of bile rises in the back of his throat as the air feels charged with static. Guys, maybe circle the wagons over here, he jerks his head to Mac as he brandishes his Neutrona Wand, Theres something in here, something...uhh..else is ion here.

Mac comes too all at once as if splashed with a cold bucket of ice water and then smacked with the bucket. All the usual and some unusual aches and pains rushing back on him at one time.

"I am not sure. Dying I think. I saw many things but most importantly, the original owner of the house visited me. One of us broke the seal containing the evil in the house, the wards had grown weak and corrupted. Her blessing of Good had soured into a curse of Evil. The seal being broken was the last straw. Over time the evil here has grown and must be purified. One room at a time, each more difficult then the previous and ultimately with fire I think. Something new and Good must replace it. First we need to find the phylactery let by the one that ruined the seal, destroy that to break the curse as well as the blessing to shatter the ground. Nothing can be left when we are through. It is to help prevent a greater evil that is coming. We can not fail!"
