"Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
The roof is "glass" as is the front wall where Freya is (think Kew Gardens/Centre Parcs).
The glass is quite thick but "you don't know until you try" probably applies.
Letting the Inchin 'orrible inside would be unpleasant - keeping it outside where it should be is the whole point of the Mansion. It won't cause explosive decompression or anything spectacular but would make the Mansion as lethal to live in as the rest of Inchin.
RAM GL vs bulkhead is likely safe but it would probably go through a stateroom wall.

Er... slide!BackworldTraveller wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 2:42 pm Do the patio doors slide, push out our way or pull into the room?

They are less dependant on "circus skills" and have made use of belts, stolen webbing and improvised scabbards to avoid unwanted amputation. Everyone likes a backscabbard!BackworldTraveller wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 2:45 pm And the combination of Falx and ACR must be hard to handle. Do they have 3 hands? Scabbards? Swords stuffed through their belts?
However, they appear to favour their firearms over their falxes.
Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
So, if Frank's team moved 3 squares SW, so they are in the grass in the middle of the two rectangles that I assume are benches, then they should have a clear view across to at least one, possibly more if they move, enemies. I guess my question is - is the vegetation to the north of the pool palm trees and are they getting in the way of LOS?
Also, how much of a hindrance is getting over that stream between the waterfall and pool?
Also, there are what looks like boulders to the right of the pool near the path, would they provide any kind of cover?

"Tactically do you want them to be locked into this room, I can try to lock the door behind them (which would force them all to fight now), but would stop the search for them in the compound if they are routed."
In other words do you want me to try to close the doors behind them.

The above could go in the main action thread as IC dialogue or just be asked as planning/table talk here.

Sir! Sir! The pedants are revolting!
Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
I think if Frank and co got to the square on the diagonal (just in front of the tree and equidistant from the two benches) then they'd likely get something to shoot as and when the other side move. As they are outnumbered being initially out of LOS may be no bad thing.shaidar wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 3:31 pm So, if Frank's team moved 3 squares SW, so they are in the grass in the middle of the two rectangles that I assume are benches, then they should have a clear view across to at least one, possibly more if they move, enemies. For the terrain to have a (suitably annoying) effect assume that the (no doubt inferred) palm trees are actually "tropical fir trees" and so obstruct vision from the edges of their outer leaves and from the ground up. If we assume the trees are "solid" then everyone can clearly assess their tactical effect.
As to terrain movement penalties there are none. Bear in mind the Baron might have to get about in here and so all slopes are gentle enough to accommodate an inebriate. However, the stream bed would give some cover (like a badly dug trench). The boulders would give excellent cover - unless they are made of polystyrene. The question being "Is the Baron bonkers enough to import rocks from somewhere else?"

It wouldn't surprise me to find out that he imported 50,000 dTons of sand for the concrete that is the starport runways - on a world with no aircraft and 1/2G gravity!

Mind you installing all the grav plates for that "authentic landing feel" made the imported sand look like a bargain. You've got to set the bar high for an "A" class facility. As soon as things begin to slide "riff raff" will start landing and the next thing you know the Vargr have turned up!

Importing sand, not so mad:
https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20 ... his-is-why

Maybe Inchin sand is just the wrong sort for making concrete.

Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
Technically I believe Inchin's "sand" is actually "sulphurous dust" so perhaps a less useful commodity...
Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
You have 6 action points per 'round':
One square of movement is one point
an aimed shot is six points
a snap shot is 3 points.
There is also a rule that if you are moving in a straight line the movement is multiplied by 1.5, so 3->5,6->9
I hope that is clear, and I hope I've got this right

Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
That's right.
This is a simplified version of AHL combat to suit PbP using published Action Point values as a guideline for the number of actions performed in a combat round. This allows more tactical choices for PCs in smaller actions. For bigger battles we use Striker which is more or less the same but with the odd tweak.
To the above list I'll add priming and throwing a grenade takes 6AP.
AP can also be used to Aim for a round giving +1 To Hit

Could you confirm LOS please, looking at the map it seems that Frank and Charlie might be able to go for black 1 or 5.
Edit : white 4 might be possible for Dog?

Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"
Frank and Charlie have LOS to Black 1 and 5
The Ruler of Justice (12"/30cm) has spoken!
But ... White 4 is down from a shot from Mike!
Dog was shot at by White 8 and can also see White 7 (-2 cover) or White 3 in the open.

Can Jess see the falxman engaging Freddie?
King exchanged fire with Black 4, perhaps she has LOS to his companions?
