Thanks!

He knew the combined solution could reverse petrification, but not how to apply it.

Thanks for the link.

I'm glad I didn't screw that up too bad then.

Andronichishche

About how much would be required to cover the whole statue?

Andronichishche heaves a weary sigh and his demeanour is definitively crestfallen. He gives her the tiny box with the mixed solution. "I am sorry, Miss Lerrick. It is extremely unlikely we will find another source of faerie tears on this island. As I see it, our only option now is to dilute it with a quantity of pure water. Hopefully, the magic will still work ... perhaps take a bit longer to effect the reversal."

Maag continues his tour of the village, inviting the fishermen and the farm workers. (And anyone else he sees.)

Maag continues calling on the townies to gather below the tavern for a special surprise party he has been planning recently.

With little hesitation form the hungry commoners, he gets quite a few takers initially, drawing a pretty good sized crowd long before the hour is up.

There is much talk about what will be served for drink and the busy cooks are questioned regularly about what they are simmering in their big pots.

The murmur grows slowly, as does the crowd, with heavy anticipation to what will be offered, and by whom.

You probably have enough liquid remaining to cover his head.

So lets say about 20 times that much.

Another quart or so, maybe?

Returning to town tells the 2 girls to gather there things.

Gather your stuff and get it moved in. I will be here for a few days but after that it is up to you to take care of it. I expect it to be in good repair when i return. Go on. What is all the noise and commotion at the Treehouse tavern?

He smacks one on the rear end as she moves away.

The young girl watches her younger sister get slapped on the ass, silently wondering what they might have gotten themselves into with this wizard.

"There was a really ugly guy shouting something about a party earlier. Maybe that's what the crowd is all about. I am gonna go check it out!"

Guess the Healing Clinic will have to wait. Lead on.

Lerrick looks at the tiny box given to her by Andron. Thank you Andron. She then hesitates for a moment, then kneels down next to the body of the petrified Cresty. He then slowly pours the contents of the box, drip-by-drip into Cresty's mouth.

Lerrick either doesn't register what Andron is saying, or she simply ignores the half-elf all together.

Taking matters into her own hands instead, she starts dripping the magic liquid onto the stone lips of the fallen Cresty. After a few seconds pass, the mans lips turn from grey stone to a fleshy pink tone, the liquid slowly seeping inside of the former paladins mouth. After a few more moments, the experiment seems to be working when they notice the human's jaw starting to twitch and the normal color beginning to return to his ashen face.

Okay, this will be the deciding factor to see if this all works out or not.

Can I get a System Shock percentile roll from Cresty, please?

Andronichishche

Retconned previous post.

Andronichishche ruminates on their conundrum briefly before deciding on a course of action. "We'll need to dilute using the absolute minimum amount of water to preserve as much concentration as possible." He removes a waterskin from his belt and empties the water onto the sand. Setting it aside, he unties a second waterskin.

He looks up, however, to see Lerrick dripping the solution into Crestbrook's petrified mouth ...

Andron stops with mouth agape and eyes fixated in fascination bordering on horror as the magic begins to take effect. Theoretically, the solution could be metabolized naturally as the flesh is gradually restored. At best, he figures the process will be quick and painless. At worst ... he really wasn't sure, as he continues to gaze on in tense anticipation.

Andronichishche

Spell research.

Continued from ...
viewtopic.php?p=522892#p522892

Andronichishche sat at the simple wooden desk in his rented shack for several minutes, considering various scenarios to test his newest spell creation. He picks up his quill and opens his leather bound journal, intending to jot down some notes regarding the same. Before he could put ink to paper a thought, more like the budding of an idea, struck his mind as he stared at the feathered instrument in his hand.

"Of course!" He blurts out suddenly, then immediately stands and moves opposite the desk, leaving the quill and journal. It was so simple that it eluded him. Writing. The objects were light enough and handling a quill was a perfect test for gauging his telekinetic dexterity.

Andronichishche relaxes his mind and enters the near trance like state required. Carefully placing his fingers on distinct points on his head, he manifests the psionitropic matrix to cast the Telepolydactylus spell. Directly above the table he could feel the sensation of his hands ... or rather, the telekinetic representations thereof. The effect felt quite strange and required intense concentration to filter the input from his actual physical hands.

He then gently, telekinetically lifts the journal from the table and opens it to an empty page. Holding the book aloft, he grasps the quill and notes that though he has full sensation of touch, the input was ever so slightly delayed as it was translated by the matrix. Sort of like moving an object underwater. Concentrating even more intently now, Andron scribes a few sentences into the hovering book, then gently lays them back onto the table.

Although he was extremely pleased at the results, the few beads of sweat rolling from his temples suggested this is not a spell he could easily endure distractions.

Lerric

The cleric, after seeing the mouth and lower jaw Cresty's stone face slowly turning to flesh, looks up at Andron with an expression of hope. This is encouraging. He seems to be responding well to this. Come back to us Sir Crestbrook.. She then continues to pour the liquid into the Cresty's mouth drip-by-drip.

Continuing her experiment with the liquid after seeing positive results, Lerrick continues dripping the salty solution into the former Paladin of the many silver circles mouth.

Though his eyes still haven't opened, both onlookers can see the balls under his lids moving around sporadically as more of the stone innards of this human slowly reverts back to soft flesh. Then they see something they dont care for.

Once all of the liquid has been swallowed, the expression on Cresty's face turns to one of bitter pain, his body now convulsing violently as he regains his normal form again. Then without warning, the human cries out a shrill scream from the serious pain he is enduring while this process plays out.

After a few moments of screaming and tears, the convulsions eventually abate before stopping completely. The labored breaths of the newly recovered fighting man are weak and uneven, but it seems pretty clear to both Lerrick and Andron that they have just witnessed what can only be considered a magical miracle.

Cresty looks a fright, pale and weaker than anyone they have ever seen before, but the man does indeed appear to be alive once again.

Alordan steps forward to help Cresty - not one for the close confines of the inn upstairs at the moment. "Easy. Welcome back to the land of the living. We'll catch you up on all the fun times you missed." He'll give him water and food to help him. Alordan also looks at Lerrick and Andron and nods approvingly. "That was impressive. Nice job saving this fellow's life"... After a few seconds of thinking it over, he states, "Where do you figure on heading next? I think with work like this I'll be tagging along with you, to be honest."

Lerrick

The cleric fights back the urge to cry. She reaches over and gives Andron hug. You did it Andron. Well done...yes...well done. She watches the ranger give him food and water, then afterwards goes into medic mode making sure that the the fighter has feeling in his legs and arms.
