Kapok, In Front Of The Little Apple Ruins

Kapok lets out an audible sigh as he impatiently sticks his head in through one of the broken windows to see if the doorway is trapped from the inside. If it is not, he draws his head back out and enters the building through the doorway. He's had his share of acid rain and would rather be under cover when the storm breaks.

The clouds break & it starts to rain lightly. Normal, harmless rain, fortunately.

Kapok sticks his head in and looks about. Its dark & difficult to see much.
You don't see anything alive or dangerous. Broken and knocked over shelves, debris. An old campfire. Some old wiring hanging from the ceiling. Some ceiling tiles are missing, but the place seems dry & out of the wind.
The set of doors in the back and the pile of rubble along one wall. Not much else.

You feel cold & lethargic. You wish the sun was shining again, but the rain is good, you were getting a bit dry.

Nor-jax (MA), Ruins

Nor-jax follows Kapok into the building, “If plant brave enough, then T’Hunn brave!”

He enters and tosses the smaller, loose debris aside so Kapok can walk easier.

Nor-jax keeps a wary eye on the rubble and the back doors, keeping his axe at the ready.

After Nor-Jax looks around inside and grunts an 'OK' to the others, Kapok heads back outside! It's been so long since he's felt untainted rain on his leaves, he isn't going to miss this opportunity! He looks around, wishing his eyesight wasn't so poor at night...

You don't see anything out of the ordinary. You keep an eye on the back doors. The pile of rubble is a bit strange, it looks like it was done on purpose. Old shelves, rocks and debris are piled against one wall.

The ceiling is pretty high, probably 20 feet or more. No other windows , except the big broken ones that are up front. The back doors are one set of double doors. They have small windows in them.

No sounds other than the rain.

You can smell a faint odor of animal.

Frank begins collecting any loose wood and looks to make a small fire near the window but away from the wall."Might as well get some hot food in us and the warmth and light will do us good."

You find some dry wood, more than enough for a campfire or two. You also see more bones scattered about. As you finish gathering the wood, you hear a faint sound. A bleating, like sheep or goat. No way of telling where it came from, but somewhere inside the building you would guess.

"Maybe some fresh meat for the fire." Growls Frank as he peers into the darkness, fingering his sword hilt. "Anyone up for some hunting tonight?"

The room is about 100x100 feet. 20ft ceilings.
A pile of rubble is against the back wall on the left. A set of double doors on the right back wall.

Kapok comes in from the rain after a bit and stands a ways away from the fire, staring at the rubble and the doorway.

"Rubble covering up another doorway?" He finally asks.

It does look like the rubble is covering something. It could be another door.

(Can you put the character type please? Like mutant plant, Pure human, mutant ape, mutated human, etc. Just so I don't get mixed up!)

Blixx looks at the ceiling, at the wires/vines. His night vision shows him a bit more than the others. Those wires/vines are strange......wait! Those are some kind of strange WEBS!!! Blixx sees something inside the ceiling where the tiles are missing . A strange Goat-like creature. It has the head/horns of a goat with several multi-faceted eyes, but its body has 8 legs.

Several of the creatures climb down from the ceiling on web lines. These goat-things have fangs, and some kind of poison drips from their horns!

Kapok immediately focuses on the smaller of the goat-spiders and uses his mental power of Empathy to cause the creature to be violently and jealously angry at the larger goat-spider for always getting the pick of the kills.

OOC: How many goat-spiders are there, exactly? Is "several" just two? Or more than two?

Nor-jax will switch to one of his spears and hurl it at the closest goat-spider. (If there are only two, then he will aim at the larger goat-spider)

OCC: Has anyone seen The Mist based on a Stephen King novel? I'm getting that sort of vibe from these things...

Blixx/MH The Applr Mkt

"Monsters" Blixx shouts and points to the ceiling. Blixx twirls his tomahawk in an arc and lets go at the nearest creature. Blixx resists the urge to suck the life from the creatures knowing it would harm his friends as well as the monsters.

OOC: Cool that is so creepy like a Walmart from hell... after tossing his tomahawk at the closest target he will ready his mace (wrench) for melee.

With a click and hiss, Mr. Pibbs charges into the room, his hands firmly gripping the shaft of the large axe he carries for just such an emergency.

If the party has initiative, Mr. Pibbs will attempt to attack the nearest spider-goat. If the spider-goats win initiative, then he will attack with the following priority (assuming he survives):1) a spider-goat that has attacked him, 2) a spider-goat attacking one of his fellow party members, or 3) the nearest spider-goat.
