I say we open the door. Check the coast is clear then if safe, barricade the door and use the two rooms to refresh and sleep. Spellcasting and acolytes need time to meditate and study.
If no one opens the door he will.

Uther
Uther will assist Shade with shrouding the Mummy after the east door has been secured. I believe we have a plan...Ferris -- thank you for taking lead -- see if the door is locked while Yagul stands at the ready. Shade will see to any locks, while the rest of us provide support, Fighters up front. Depending on what we find on the other side, we'll secure the doors and take a needed rest, for everyone's sake. If there are no dissenters, Ferris, proceed.
Uther will brandish his dagger and provide backup support if needed.

Re: Part 1: Fighters Academy (IC Section 1)
Rest and Recuperation The group decides to barricade the doors and take a rest in the room the mummy was defeated in or one of the other rooms depending on which is better defensive wise. Taking the mummies bones and placing them into one of the shrouds given to you leaves the room with a bit more of a sense of peace though a sense of evil tension still hangs in the air, like a coming storm or like there are is still something left unfinished. You check the door and find no traps though the person checking almost entirely missed the door and checked the wall. Otherwise the room is defendable though the slight smell of the gloomfens has lessend this room still holds the stench even lightly though not enough to send anyone to spewing their meal from prior in the day. You think the room that lead into this one would be better to defend and less smelly.

I wonder if we should shroud the mummy and put his/her remnants in the secret room and lock if again. We can collect the corpse or swaddling clothes later.
The gnome will pick a corner to rest in. Using some pillows as a make do mattress. He studies from a book of 'artful shenanigans' to restock on the next days illusionist spells. (Sheet updated)
After breakfast he is ready to go.

Shade
Settles in the corner so he can see the door. Sits down and plays with the new earring. Thinking about the locations of all this stuff and where they are located in the tower.
I think we will find what we are after higher in this tower but we are going to have to fight our way out again. That was a rough fight. If there are more like that Mummy we are in for a rough go of it. And we can't rest after every battle, we just don't have the time for it. Tomorrow we need to clear out the upper levels and do it as quickly as possible. Hopefully we find our quarry and can move out of here.
He pulls out some jerky and starts to feed himself and drink his water.

Uther
Uther will find a place to rest in the other room (not the mummy room) and place the chest against the outer door, and anything else he can find that might block entry, and prepares his mind for sleep with a short meditation. Once complete he responds to Shade’s comments, “I would tend to agree, Shade. There appear to be two more floors above us, and a side tower that goes one floor higher. Our challenge will be the unknown. Extra caution may be the order of the day, given the encounter with that mummy.”
In the morning Uther will meditate to refresh spells and then prepare himself, dagger in hand just in case, for the opening of the east door.
Spells Memorized:

Shade has the Pearl to use to Identify the Sword later on. Split the gold up between all of us so you are not encumbered.

We may want to save the pearl for another magic item depending on what shows up.

Re: Part 1: Fighters Academy (IC Section 1)
Just a reminder you are on the top floor of this fighters academy but there are towers above (but that goes into a different module) currently you have 3 floors 2 below you and the one you are on to focus on for this currently appointed task.

The group is able to rest without any encounters for a full 8 hours of resting. Sorry I didn't mean to take this long to roll for encounters nothing happens you are all rested, and recover spells or memorize new ones.

Uther
Uther well rested and immediately sets about memorizing spells for the day. Having completed his daily routine he prepapres himself for the opening of the west door, dagger in hand just in case“ I am ready for the challenges of this day.” he tells the rest of the party. Let us see to the task at hand.

Bids to take the Potion of Healing on the basis he has the least total hp of the fighters and unlike the paladin or cleric has no means of magical or divine healing. "If a dire need arises I will pass it on also."
He shuts his spell books, having practised flexing fingers into casting various animal shadow shapes on the wall by candlelight . "Look a rabbit head, a swooping hawk, a donkey with a big ding-dong." He amuses himself if no one else.
So do we clear this floor? He opens the door to the corridorchecking the coast is clear. He has no preference so going left or right?
What can he see? Other doors, stairwells, rusty suits of armour on guard.
