Asides and Public Discussion about the game (Part 1)
Re: Asides and Public Discussion about the game (Part 1)
I think that Rigsby & Sood are the official legal team for the shareholders. They arranged the first hotel meeting.
The Sood of R&S is not the same Sood who owns shares in the Queen.
I felt initially the award was fine but then being charged for 'salvage and storage' which took all but 1,000cr was another legal challenge that should be initiated.

Yes, charging a fee for storage in which the vessel was damaged by a series of unrestricted criminal activities is open to challenge I would think.

Reven, holds Mr Soods proxy and recieved updates from him during the hearing at court.
Re: Asides and Public Discussion about the game (Part 1)
Think any action taken against the police conduct at the Queen and furthering legal claims for damages to the ship and loss of stock should be something we do as a collective of shareholders and not just a personal claim from those on board at the time of inspection.Rigsby and Sood are attorneys that brought the case that has forced the Navy to capitulate
Marcus is the owner of the shares...His Uncle is a Lawyer!
Can R&S also confirm the unfreezing of QoTB accounts and assets by the time of the next shareholders meeting so that we can budget effectively prior to any ongoing award challenges.

Assuming crew staterooms are...
Which rooms have Pranit and Reven set up in?
And has someone bought some clean bed-linen?
- Captains, Crew 1, Crew 2
- Crew 5, Crew 4, Crew 3

Re: Asides and Public Discussion about the game (Part 1)
So I will just randomly pick room 5, and I though of it, but Pranit will just turn the heat up a hair and change into clean unders and pull a coat over him for the first night, which is suppose to be rough, right.BackworldTraveller wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 8:47 am Assuming crew staterooms are...per floorplan in the Queen of the Belt Thread

In indrani's case, they'd have to be on friendly terms...

Re: Asides and Public Discussion about the game (Part 1)
Just spotted the new "chapter 4.5" thread.
Nālani seems to be operating in two timelines at present. She has arrived at the ship with Arnwulf in time for the meeting, and she is talking with Assana in the restaurant before leaving.
I'm happy to continue posting in the two times , or I can wait until we finish the Assana conversation.
Just thought I ought to check before jumping into the new thread.

I think it'd be good to wrap up the other threads before we start the meeting. The Bindoner wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 12:54 am Just spotted the new "chapter 4.5" thread.

So, any minimum skills ranks to qualify? Or choose who has the highest in each specialty?BackworldTraveller wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 3:28 pm The crew regulations are simple - You must have a registered Captain, a qualified Pilot, a qualified Astrogator and a qualified Engineer. They could all be the same person.
One person should be the designated Bridge Officer at all times the ship is in free space - but there is no regulation that says they have to be awake - just on call to respond within 60 seconds of an alarm being sounded!
The ship, however, must be insured for injury to passengers should it carry any, and if it has employees must have insurance against claims by them too.

Re: Asides and Public Discussion about the game (Part 1)
In my private forum discussions I raised this as a question or scenario which probably relates to any financial planning.
It would also be the duty of the shareholders to raise finances and purchase, amend the capital assets on the ship.Great. Certainly think sorting out finances and budgeting, investing, trading will be big issues.
I was trying to think what would be a reasonable investors expectation. So I figured my 25% share 12/48th would normally be valued at $12Mcr.
So in a trading year, that investment should dividend around 5% value, so $600,000cr, equivalent to $50k cr per share.
So to (give or take a %), one would expect the ship to make annualised profits of upward $2.4 million in dividend payments to share holders and generate another $2M to compensate for yearly costs on the Queen such as insurance, fuel, security and armaments, mechanical, engineering and sensor updates, crew wages and crew incentive bonus.
That is equal to trading a weekly profit of circa $100kcr.
Of course much easier if all the shares are held by the crew who live and work on the ship. So the 'demand for substantial profit' could be less.

Is the Life Support system on the Queen running well enough to recharge a Vac Suit with clean air?

Re: Asides and Public Discussion about the game (Part 1)
Air and Heat are fine...No fresh water, sullage or sewerage until Reven finishes his clean up and checks.
Power is fine if using the starboard power distribution system; dead if using the port. Major systems use both/either. Domestic uses one or the other. So all the port side cabins have no power (lights, sockets).
You still have no fuel so you are dead if you have to undock. But then again, no one has checked the fuel tankage yet either. Or the Laser Turret (from inside). Or the inside of the workshop (for obvious reasons).

Re: Asides and Public Discussion about the game (Part 1)
Reven needs to be in meetings, and see the workshopI don't mind 'hand waving' Arnwulf to stay on the ship and address issues in turn as we are able. It seems the craft won't be 'shipshape' and ready to fly for a week. So as a suggestion he says why don't we take one level each day and tackle the major concerns on that level. So engineering and manoeuvre one day, hangar next, cargo, etc.
