On the trail they hold all the cards. And if you kill them or even harm them, they know who you are. Beachtown will suffer.

Amongst the trees you at least take away some of their advantages. There are a lot more places to hide. It's like Kirk taking the Enterprise into the nebula at the end of Wrath of Khan 😁

And if you get away, you haven't committed any crime.

I'm definitely in favor of hit the treeline and run like hell. Daisy has temporarily turned the reins over to Narramore- she's just waiting for his word.

Keep in mind that it's a jungle treeline. Unless you can find a game trail you won't exactly be running.

True. Fortunately, Daisy can get under a lot of the tangles. Unfortunately, so can the dwarves.

That's an advantage too though. They don't have to outrun the dwarves, they just have to get out of sight. After that, they could be anywhere as far as the pursuers know.

The dwarves either have to dismount (how long will that take, and what will their lizards do when they do?) or take the lizards into the trees (can they do that easily?)

To stretch the Star Trek analogy a bit further: climb a tree. Would the dwarves think to look up?

I didn't think about the possibility of retribution on Beachtown. Which will surely come. That does add a new wrinkle.

So we try to cut through the jungle and escape without harming anyone, however long that might take in the thick brush.

Or we kill them all and ensure there are no witnesses to link the crime to Beachtown. Possibly even stage the scene to make it look like someone--or something--else killed them. Then find our way out.

And possibly have to fight the other band on our way out.

Or to stretch the analogy even further: break the system (Kahn IIRC). Go pay a visit to OM, get him drunk and make him type the best outcome possible for your group's hair-brained actions.

I like this option best.

I do too!!! (if it wasn't for this stupid virus thing)

Thanks for the moral support everyone, I did some soul searching (drinking) over the weekend and I think I feel better now.

I really dig seeing all the table talk as well. Especially with players who dont even have a dog in the fight chiming in.

I love this game!

So I'm not sure how quickly everyone can escape into the jungle, Narramore especially. Then there's always the problem of being in the jungle off a trail. We'd be split up, trying to be quiet, running a game of predator with the dwarves...on second thought that sounds like great fun.

My first concern is those horns. I think the princess can take care of the one in front of her, but the other one needs to be done quickly.

The unspoken nod between the princess and Narramore was meant to indicate that she is looking to him to initiate.

Oh, I picked up on that part!

I guess we're either going along with them or fighting. Since escape into the jungle seems a rough road whether we escape pursuit or not. Defeating them on the road seems our only real option. And hoping no one else is around that bend and will hear the conflict.

At the very least getting those horns.
