With the sound of battle quickly ceasing, Gruuthuk peeks back into the room, only to see that the bugbears have all been defeated. Joining the rest of the party, he begins looking for the arrows he used. I'm ready to move on, but if you want to rest, I'll take a seat and drink some of that wine. If the party does decide to rest, Gruuthuk will have some wine before going back and investigating the previous room.

Lika brushes herself off before reaching for the bottle. "A toast? To our first true battle together. May all be as favorable as this was." He offers a drink to those who want one.

Lika watches as Nella tries to recreate the statue from the shards on the ground. He picks a piece up to determine its composition. "I don't need to rest now, but you took the brunt of their attack. Do as you need."

Xanlanan agrees to either moving on or resting. Meanwhile, he examines the statue as well. "What would a statue down here represent? What purpose? Some god perhaps to these creatures? Fascinating.." He continues to examine the pieces and also the unfortunate dead to see what items or clues they may harbor for this minor puzzle.

With no objections, hoping for a result on the study of the statue, then we execute a Short Rest to refresh capabilities.

With affirmation from the others, Baroness Nella unfolds her art easel and, while relaxing for a short rest, sketches the statue and chamber for posterity.

Bugbear Room
After the combat, the three bugbear corpses are collected and gathered into the far corner.

While Gruuthuk crosses the room and recovers one of his spent arrows, Unari searches for, but fails to find, any secret doors or hidden areas in the room.

In the center of the room, Nella and Xanlanan begin to examine the pieces of the statue, while Lika observes them curiously.

Nella barely has time to return the bandages, salves, and splints into her healing kit before the other pre-rest activities the group had planned are interrupted by a handful of incoming red arrows with black flights.

From down the same southern hallway the group originally entered from, a handful of goblin archers pop around the corner, target Nella and Xanlanan with two and three arrows respectively:

Incoming arrows activate her Deflect Missiles ability. That reduces 3hp to 0. Then, spend a Ki point to reflect the shot back at the firing archer (purple).
Reflected arrow [1d20+6] = 10+6 = 16[1d20+6] = 7+6 = 13 damage [1d6+3] = 3+3 = 6
He should be 20' which is a 16 to hit and 6hp damage.
If for some reason he is longer, then it is at disadvantage which is 13 to hit instead.
With the twang of the bowstring, the perceptive Baroness Nella looks up from her medical bag and springs into fluid motion. As the arrow sails directly at her, she spins, almost too quick to see clearly. She catches the arrow's shaft against the flat of her palm and, pirouetting on a toe, redirects it's momentum back as it came, flying directly back at the aiming goblin's right eye.

As the goblins turn to flee, she leaps after them, sailing through the air to close most of the distance between them in a single step, her engraved longsword already appearing in her hand. The wind itself speeds her to cut the goblins down.
Free interaction: draw longsword.

bonus action: step of the wind to dash, which is 80' of movement. They're unlikely to outrun it. If they hid, they need to beat her passive perception of 21.

Action: attack twice against goblins.
Attack: Longsword [1d20+6] = 8+6 = 14[1d8+3] = 2+3 = 5 Unarmed [1d20+6] = 5+6 = 11[1d6+3] = 3+3 = 6
Longsword + unarmed attack then allows the +2 AC from Agile Parry for AC 18.

Hearing arrows clatter against the wall, the bugbear leaps at the chance for more combat! Racing around the corner, he drops his bow and draws his rapiers, attacking the first enemy he is able to catch.

"This feels like a trap." Lika remarks as the goblins retreat around the corner. Too late to stop anyone from rushing around, he shrugs and moves east to and through the door. Once there she peeks into the room to the south, looking for any goblins.

Lika will fire if any are spotted.

Xanlanan moves to the west wall after he collects himself from the arrow assault. He will pull out a coin and cast his light spell upon it. He tosses it into the hallway where the arrows came from. Whispering, "That should let us see any shadows from approaching attackers before we actually see them". He shrugs. "well, maybe"

Round 2
Without hesitation, Unari crosses the room and positions himself around the corner, prepared to strike if the assailants happen to return.

After the goblins flee, Nella leaps after them, bounding through the air and gliding to a stop at the end of the passage, ready to continue her pursuit... but, instead, finds herself greeted by a total onslaught of a goblin ambush. While not surprised, the readied actions by the goblins are triggered by her arrival.

Immediately around the corner, a pair (red, blue) of goblins attack at close range. The nearest (red) attacks with a scimitar, successfully issuing a cut to the monk (-6). A few steps behind it, a second goblin (blue) slides up alongside the first and jabs at the barnoness with its curved goblin blade but is unable to inflict any harm.

Half-way down the hallway, where another passage leads south, a third goblin (green) sends an arrow in the baronesses' direction. The goblin's aim is true, but the monk catches the arrow's shaft against the flat of her palm and, pirouetting on a toe, redirects it's momentum back as it came, flying directly back at the ambushing goblin before it ducks down the side passage and out of harm's way.
Marullus, I just assumed you wanted to spend your reaction to use your Deflect Missiles feature. Let me know if you also want to spend a Ki point and use the Deflect Missiles Attack feature as well. If so, please include those rolls.

Currently, no Ki points deducted for this round.

As do another pair of goblins at the far end of the hallway (purple, orange) who had their bows readied, with one managing to strike (-5).


With her own attacks, Nella lashes out wildly with her longsword at the nearest goblin but fails to connect. Her unarmed strike is equally ineffective.

"This feels like a trap." Lika comments as the goblins retreat around the corner, and a couple of her companions already rushing after them. The warlock shrugs and moves to the door in the northwest corner, opening it -- where is suspicions are quickly proven to be correct as, almost immediately set upon by a flurry of arrows readied to target the unlucky individual to open the door. Without the benefit of being able to see in the dark, he can't immediately tell how many total arrows targeted him, but he feels the strike of three that struck him and loosed some of his feathers (-9) (-7) (-5). The aarakocra instinctively fires off two of his Eldritch Blast spells, taking comfort in the fact that one of them issued a pained yelp suggesting at least one of his blasts struck successfully.

Already fishing for a coin from his pouch, and before he's able to process what's happening to Lika, Xanlanan casts a Light spell on the procured coin and tosses it into the hallway below, shedding some illumination on the area.
