"They fly themselves," Prerna calls. OK: My bunch look like they are clear for a few more moments. Probably a cue for massive ambush!

Prerna
(OOC: Visible light spectrum street lighting shows him in his CES).
Prerna sees them still heading South for one of the few illuminated intersections with Processional. They are armed with a spear, fire axe and hammer respectively. As the three near the junction the focus of their attention crosses into the ahead of them and is revealed to be a limping Guardsman.

Prerna swears under her breath, and settles her sights on the fire axe wielder's center of mass. She activates the sight's tracking reticle (which automatically updates the impact point), centers it, takes a breath, lets half of it out, and presses the firing stud.Tiglath wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 6:00 pm Prerna

One and a half kliks away the axe man appears to stumble as a puff of Inchin dust blooms off his gear. He drops his axe, pitches forwards onto the road surface and lies still.
His "mates" bolt left and right towards the building line.

Prerna is mildly surprised that the heavy gauss rifle's dart apparently passed straight though the man with little kinetic energy transfer. She watches the wounded Guardsman as he stumbles homeward. "One person down, and one wounded Guardsman [insert exact position]," she announces over the general comm.Tiglath wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 7:17 pm Prerna

Sees the limping guardsman gratefully make the safety of the two tanks on Processional and a crewman dismounts to boost him onto the engine deck.

Jess
Gaughan replies on Jess’ personal comm stating that he’ll sort recovering the tank out and then adds “Well, the poor auld fellas out here were in a bit of a bind - so I decided to help them out. I didn’t think I did so badly on the auld physical therapy though but I wouldn’t want to worry you. So, perhaps I should have another assessment?”

Freya
Freya continues to shepherd “her” guardsmen southwards until they are collected by Liv, Gaughan and his “volunteers” in the G Carrier. The Carrier unloads the guardsmen at the foot of the mansion and picks up a recovery crew for the #3 tank.

The sniper continues scanning for targets, watching over her comrades like the Valkyries from her star nation's legends. She concentrates on a thought to her lover. I'm watching from the Mansion's roof.

Jakob
Liv, Gaughan and his “volunteers” in the G Carrier set off to collect the “lost” guardsmen observed by Freya. This leaves a secure LZ with Jakob and his squad as first aid / security at the “junction” attack site.
The ambulance lands and begins to load wounded.
Then Jakob sees an unarmed guardsman step into sight in the street north (further from the Mansion) above the junction about 30 yards away. He is wearing his all in one "under armour" and holding a scaffold pole with a white rag tied to it. An amplified voice calls out “Mercenary forces in Star Town. I am Chefsergeant Rolf Jørgen, Monoc Securities, bonded at Trexalon. I am authorised to negotiate on behalf of my unit. I propose a ten minute cessation of hostilities”.

Frank monitors all and hears what Jakob does relayed over the command channel by his squad and/or Beau from the ambulance.

"Well, this is interesting," Jakob said to no one in particular. He set his scanners to maximum, his comm to the team channel, and stepped just past his own line and vehicle, so he was up front. "Command, are you getting this? Major, eyes on, please. Does this look like the boys that helped us out earlier?"
Jakob hesitated for a moment, and then put his weapon on safety. It was still ready, though, and Jakob was watching. "Chefsergeant Jørgen, I am Lieutenant Domici, and your request has been sent to my commander. Please stand down until I receive orders."

Jakob & Prerna (direct) / All on relay
A figure stepped out next to the unarmoured Guardsman and took the “flag of truce” from him whilst prodding him down the road. At ten yards the pair stopped at the stranger’s command.
Jakob guessed that the soldier was in his mid to late thirties. He wears a “desert” field cap with the brim shading his blue eyes. A civilian Inchin “workers coat” covered his shoulders and arms but was worn open to reveal a shoulder rig and webbing with magazine pouches for his suppressed snubmachine gun. A CES in desert camo was visible under this. Next to the breast name tag was a steel logo depicting the stylised face of a bearded man with an eyepatch.
“Premierløjtnant Domici of the Slightly Ethical mercenaries? Then we will wait to hear from Oberst Cross. But here we will make a goodwill gesture”. To the nervous Guardsman next to him he says “You know what? You are such a good soldier I’m going to send you back to fight on the other side!” then, with a chuckle and an offhand shove, he propelled his captive across the street towards the merc lines.
He then says “Please relay our conditions to your Oberst. Fix your air assets in place and we will withdraw and allow you to recover the wounded Guard. The Townsfolk will not give quarter to those who kill children and I’ll not waste water on them. We have more prisoners, some of them wounded, and you can have them back too - but I’m not sparing them twice!”
(OOC: I think Jess got a reasonably good view of the “Green Force” at Zinderneuf while others only saw them leaping aboard the Gig. Major difference from these "new" guys was hard armour and energy weapons).

On the officer channel:
"I see no reason not to agree to their conditions, but I'm open to opposing arguments. If we agree to this then we still need to stay alert, they have shown us once already that they do not stick to the rules when they attacked the ambulance, but I think it' worth the risk and it sounds like a one time only deal."
